"Did you pass the test" sue asks while looking over her magazine,
"Yes in fact I did....with a seventy-one" I say whispering the last part.
"Don't worry Z at least you passed"
"Yea but I'm not even bad at the class, the only reason I didn't score higher was because instead of grabbing my study guide I grabbed my moms shopping list, I don't think knowing we need eggs will help with knowing the anatomy of a ROOSTER" I slightly start to yell getting annoyed with myself.
"Z calm down, it wasn't even a final grade....you can redo it"
"I shouldn't have to redo it in the first place".

Roxy theater wasn't the most popular theater in town, but it was popular-enough. This was the place that you would want to come for dates, or family outings, since the theater didn't get crowded and it was an old school school building. You get your tickets in the front then continue in on either your right or left door, but they both meet up in the middle. And funny thing is, is that I work here and I've worked here for the past 5 months, but I've only been in the Roxy for work, not for a day off or anything.
"Z...Z GET UP" Sue yells as I shoot my head up, papers sticking to my face. I glance around the ticket booth seeing the sun going down,
"How long was I out"
"Like maybe an hour, but it's almost 8:30" I rub my forehead and look out at the colorful sky. Portland has always had beautiful sunsets, especially on the outskirts of town.
"I've already given out at least 30 tickets in the past hour, while you were napping" Sue says checking the time.
"Well I'm sorry I stayed up studying for a test I didn't even get a good grade on" I say still complaining.
"Hey" a voice cuts through our bickering. I turn my head and I see the girl from yesterday, lea. She was stunning, long silky black hair, it went past her hips. She has one gray eye and one blue one. Freckles covered her face and a few even dotted her lips. As well as that she even had two dimples, one on each cheek. Saying she was ugly would be a complete lie, and saying she was gorgeous would be an understatement.
"Yes" I say curiously,
"Um yea can I get two tickets to screen 4 please, I'm gonna surprise my boyfriend and apologize for yesterday if you know what I mean" she winks and laughs to herself,
Gross.
"Yea yea, uh eighteen dollars" I say printing out her tickets, she hands me a twenty,
"Keep the change hun, you look like you need it" I scoff and hand her the tickets, and as if right on cue Daniel comes up, eyes still dull, she grabs his hand and pulls his face down to hers and kisses him intensely, making eye contact with me ever so often. Once they break away, she pulls him into the theater and he doesn't spare me a glance.
Thank me my ass.
"I don't need her damn two dollars" I say throwing the money at Sue.
"She doesn't deserve him, his eyes, they don't...they don't show love. But what the hell do I know, I've never been in love. My eyes are probably the same as his" Sue stares at me as I ramble on, frustrated I grab my coat and walk out of the ticket booth,
"ZACH....where are you going"
"I'm gonna go see Daniel".
