(Daniels pov)
"So what happened" I ask dread weighing down my words, making my tongue feel heavy.
"So my parents have been divorced since I was two, and I stayed with my mom, because my dad just wasn't in the right state of mind. Well of course my mom dated people but she was never in a serious relationship, until she met a guy named Darrin. He was a great guy, and he had a son, and his name was jack".
Lois comes by to check up on us, and bring us our drinks. She gave a slight smile, and she continued talking.
"Well Jack was a sweet guy, but he...he had, no he gave off this feeling of...just a bad feeling. But my mom was finally happy so it didn't matter. This all was around six and a half years ago. Jack and I grew closer, he was like my best friend, that just happened to also be my step brother. Well I had just started senior year, this was about what, a few months before I dropped out. Jack started his junior year, he was homeschooled his entire life up until junior year, because that's just how he lived before meeting us. So of course I was nervous having to take care of him, and maintain my new job at the Roxy." She stops to take a drink and blink back some tears.
"Well soon enough this short little cute boy comes up to the booth holding an interview paper."
(The past)
"Hey...I'm here for the interview with mr.....starelson?" He asks while scanning over his paper in his hand. I chuckle a small bit to myself,
"Lemme see your paper" he slides it through the money slot and I scan over it,
*extra notes: the ticket booth is something I truly don't wanna do*
"Trust me hun, no one wants to work the booth. Hey Tyler cover me imma take him to his interview" he chuckles with me.
"I'm Zach" he says,
"Oh, well good luck"
"Why do you say that"
"Every Zach that comes through here never gets hired" I say with a smile, hand him his paper and send him into the bosses' office.
"He's not gonna make it".

"He was so quirky and"
"Adorable" I cut her off. She nods her head, as tears run down her face.
"He got the job a little while later, and guess what he started working the booth" she lets a small laugh leave her lips, the memory seemingly painful.
"Over the course of the first two months we knew each other we became such good friends, and then one night he came in, and you could basically see the hearts in his eyes, and his chest pounding."
Those words of how he felt broke my heart, I don't love him though...do I?

-back at the apartment-
(Zach's pov)
"I miss him so much" I sob into my knees,
"I barely know him and I miss him." My vision is so blurry everything is simply colored blobs,
"I never wanted him to know, he's gonna hate me, I'm such a pathetic horrible excuse for a person. God I wish I never took that job at the theater, I wish I wasn't some STUPID THEATER BOY"
"But you're his theater boy aren't you?" Someone says from the door frame, the voice sickeningly familiar, I look up and wipe my eyes.
"No no no no, what the hell are you doing here"
"I came here to see you pretty boy, Reese let me in"
"jack....."
