I woke to a loud knocking on my door, presumably it was Sadiq who was waking me up for school but in reality who even knows, last night once I had gotten in I did my homework and went straight to bed, I didn't speak a word to Riz. No doubt that I couldn't avoid him today though. I had a long shower in the ensuite, washing my hair too before getting out and blow drying it into curls. I decided that today I would put makeup on, just not around where I had the cuts on my cheek. I did my full face of makeup before getting dressed into my short black skirt, white button up and green bomber jacket, I screwed up my blazer and placed it in my school bag along with the homework which I had done last night. I quickly checked my complexion in the mirror before putting on my school shoes and exiting the room. I wandered into the kitchen where Alya and Riz were stood talking, they both became quiet as I walked into the room.
"Here." Riz spoke while handing me a piece of toast that had jam on it.
"Thanks." I smiled before taking small bites of the toast.
"How was Missy?" Riz questioned making me think back to last night.
"Better now." I replied quietly knowing full well that Riz was thinking of what happened before I had left to go meet up with 'Missy'. I ate the rest of my toast in silence not looking up at either Riz or Alya, praying that any minute Sadiq would walk in and say that it was time to go to school. That moment didn't come until another five minutes when he emerged from his room in his usual blue suit.
"Come on then kids, let's get you three to school." Sadiq said while fetching his keys. I put my handbag over my shoulder  and followed closely behind Alya and Riz. Alya got into the front of the car leaving Riz and I in the back in an awkward silence. After a couple of minutes of me looking out of the window I could feel his gaze in the back of my head, I turned around to face him and mouthed "what" to him. He just smirked at me before turning the opposite direction. As soon as we got to school I said goodbye to Sadiq and went to find Missy and Nas. I found them sitting at a bench discussing exams which Missy had this year, seeing as she had dropped out last year.
"How's life with the Nawaz's?" Nas joked, she knew how much I hated Alya, especially because she had the same if not more amount of hate for that girl than I did.
"Oh it's great." I said sarcastically. "Sipping on champaign in the bath while the servants washed me, it's luxurious." I laughed.
"Yeah sounds it." Missy gawped thinking I was serious.
"Missy, I'm joking." I laughing even harder now than before seeing the look of embarrassment flash upon her face.
"Oh." She stated quietly as Nas joined in laughing with me. In my fit of laughter I noticed Jordan sneaking into school behind the large crowd of students.
"I'll be back in a minute." I stated standing up and hurrying off to where I had seen Jordan disappear to. I wondered through the empty school halls and saw Jordan sat on a windowsill near my biology room.
"Following me?" Jordan muttered, just loud enough for me to hear him.
"And if I was?" I questioned while going to sit next to him.
"You'd be a stalker." He chuckled. I stayed silent for a minute.
"I stopped by at yours yesterday and-" I started but soon got cut off.
"- I know, Cory told me everything." Jordan finished.
"Everything?" I gulped, had he told him about what had happened with Pete?
"Yeah, how he erm told you about our dad."
"Oh, yeah I didn't know if you was going to tell you."
"He only did because dad kicked me out again, gave me your key didn't he, asked how he got it so he had to tell me."
"Why'd he kick you out?"
"Gave him lip didn't I?"
"Here, its all I got on me." I said handing him about thirty quid that I had gotten from Khadim a couple of weeks ago. "There's no food there."
"Thanks." He said taking it from my hand and shoving it into his bag. "What would I do without you?" He asked while throwing an arm round my shoulders to pull me into a side hug.
"Be homeless and starving." I chuckled while wrapping one of my arms around his waist and placing my head in his shoulder. People had started to fill the hallways by now so we were getting suspicious looks from everyone around, but I didn't care. Moments later I saw Riz and Cory walk in and both instantly see Jordan and I, Cory had a smile planted on his face and Riz had a look of mere confusion. To tell the truth I didn't care anymore if people knew that Jordan and I were friends, it was mainly just so people didn't find out about us both working for a drug dealer, but I learned that something's in life are more important than secrets.
