Pink, Amaranth pink. My eyes adored yet another color displayed in the sky. Different hues were witnessed in the sunset as the time read 5:00 pm. The light and monochromatic shade caught my attention for it dominated over the hues present.
The familiarity of the cold camera calmed my senses. It is in my camera, in my pictures, that I could experience the sense of comfort and solitude. Others would tend to write their hearts out, but I would tell my story through my pictures. Someone would be considered special if he or she could interpret the stories.
Then, there, and right at that moment, another familiarity came. Indeed it was you. You and your lean physique. Muscles and biceps showing a tad bit because you were cladded in a grey V-neck shirt and khaki shorts.
The sea breeze only did nothing but make you look more carefree as it swept back your tousled and slightly disheveled hair. The pink hue of the sunset only highlighted your face that was adorned with freckles I did not know were actually there.
You were one heck of a familiarity. A charming one. When you flashed me a dashing smile, I did not know why things started to flutter in my stomach. You then asked me why I took pictures of the sunset. I gave your question a thought for a few seconds.
Why did it have to be the sunset? Why not the raging snow storm during winter? Why not even the stars that never ceased to show their radiance with each flicker? Maybe I became too fond of the sunsets because of the variegated colors it screamed.
Like how the sky was a huge canvas and in time, there would be various colors splattered across it. The yellow, orange, pink, and others as if it was in a systematic sequence that I would not mind taking numerous shots just for one color day by day. Maybe I staryed taking pictures of sunsets because I could actually relate to it.
People would only take notice of others when they were on the verge of being gone, and just like people admiring the sun when it is setting and regretfully long for it when the moon is rising. This was how I answered you.
