Just Friends -Billy Andrews

Before class started you took out your slate and started drawing.
You could feel someone gazing over your shoulder
You looked up to meet eyes with Billy Andrews
"Hey y/n... what are you drawing?" He asked tilting his head
Oh it's some weird 3-D dimension cole taught me how to draw.
"Oh." He said. Moods changing.
You and Billy's relationship was a secret. The only person outside of you that knew, was cole, one of your best friends.
Billy's friends arrive to the school house and flood in, now crowding around you.
He smirked at you before walking away to talk to his friends in a different area of the class room.
Class started and you were all reading some boring book.
Cole sits right across from you which made it easier to pass notes around (before Billy came in the picture)
You and cole were passing notes around and every now and then you or he would giggle which really got Billy's attention.
Cole passed you a picture he had drawn. You unfolded the piece of paper and opened your mouth in awe at the beautiful landscape he had drawn.
Billy was watching you and cole's every move and he was not happy with the reaction cole got out of you.
You mouthed "I love it!" To cole.
Reading time was up and it was now time for lunch. You sat with the girls. You all talked and ate your lunch.
-cut to where Billy and Cole are arguing-
Cole walked outside to sit and draw.
Billy walked up to him and placed his arm around his shoulder. "Hey there bud." Billy said.
"What do you want, Billy?" Cole said removing his arm from his shoulder.
"Oh, um.. just wanted to ask you why you think it's okay to be flirting with MY girlfriend. I mean do you REALLY think that you have a chance with her?" They were now face to face. Billy stepping closer and closer with each word until Cole's back was against the school house wall.
Cole looked around. "B-Billy I-it's really not l-like that.." He said reassuring him.
"Yeah right." Billy said. His voice laced with cockiness.
Billy grabbed coles collar and took a deep breathe. He held him up to his face level.
"If I ever see you talking to her, I'll handle this in a different manner. Ya hear?"
Cole nodded his head.
— back to you—-
Then you remembered that you forgot your milk outside (lol does that make sense)
"I'll be right back!" You said, walking outside.
You turned around the corner of the building only to see Billy, pinning cole against the outside of the school house wall.
They were arguing.. you ran up to them.
"Billy Andrews! Put cole down right now!"
"Fine." He said. Dropping him, leaving him to collapse in the grass.
You turned to cole again with anger still displayed.
Cole threw a punch at Billy and hit him square in the jaw.
You stopped Billy just in time before he handed it to cole. Your hand reached out, and you grabbed Billy's arm.
He turned to you and it had seemed that all of his anger had vanished.
You pushed Billy aside and made sure cole was okay.
"You, come here. Right. Now." You said taking Billy's hand leading him into the room where the hats and coats were hung.
"What in the right mind made you think it was okay to do that?"
"Because, I'm a guy and I know what flirting is.." he mumbled the last part.
"Billy, it's COLE."
"And?"
You squeezed his hand. "Listen to me when I tell you that he is no threat."
He put his head down
"And neither is any other boy, Billy"
You said tilting his chin up
"If this relationship is going to work out, you're going to have to change."
He began to smile then his friends walked in. He spat "alright, fine, whatever." In an annoyed way and walked off.
You understood that it was still a secret between his friends and they couldn't see his vulnerable side. But gosh you hated when he was cocky at unnecessary times.
