Chapter 3. Midnight surprise.

"Damn that nap was great".

I took out my phone and I looked at it and I saw three miss calls from Jason and Jenny, I also saw some what's app messages as well. I got out of bed and went into the kitchen and took out a cold can of monster energy drink then I began drinking a bit then I made a quick call to Jason. The phone went straight to voice mail every time I tried so I decided to call Jenny instead.

"Maybe Jenny would still be up, I mean it's just 8:15 p.m so I'm sure she would be up now playing Pokemon cause I mean we are nerds and that's what nerds do after all".

Jenny picked up and she sounded overly happy but I didn't question it and just began talking to her.

"So Brad what you up to Dude?".

"Nothing much I just got up and I saw some miss calls on my phone so I decided to call back".

"Ooooh cool cool I'm glad you did, so ummm you mind if we skyped tomorrow?"

"Oh yeah I almost forgot, no problem we can skype tomorrow evening for sure".

After about half an hour of talking on the phone with Jenny I told her bye and just began to wonder about my house until I decided to go outside on my roof with my 3ds and play some pokemon omega ruby.

"The stars sure do look beautiful tonight".

I sighed happily and smiled then I started singing Casanova by SIckick, I really loved that song I just love turning up to it. The cold night air felt so good since during the days the summer heat was so awful well more like it was very annoying, The next song played on my phone but before I could sing I heard Jason singing it and I looked down at my front door and I saw Jason there so I called out to him.

"Yo bro wassup I didn't expect to see you here at this time".

Jason climbed up on top of my roof and sae beside me then fist bumped me and said.

"I was really bored plus I could'nt sleep".

Jason laughed and laid back on the roof and said.

"Yo Brad, how is it going between you and Jenny?"

I looked at Jason and punched him on his arm and said.

"Nothing at all bro, I mean we text and I know that she likes me but I don't know".

Jason sat up and sighed.

"Let me guess you are still pretty mind fucked about your last girlfriend ?"

I face palmed myself because I knew what Jason was saying is true then I answered him.

"To be honest it's because of my previous girlfriend why I don't want to start another relationship for now".

Jason sighed again and got up then said.

"Bro I know it was hard for you to see all of those videos of your last girlfriend in highschool having sex with other guys especially at school and to make it worst she pretended like it never happened, but bro you are gonna have to move on and forget about her".

" I know I'm gonna have to bro".

Jason smiled and thne looked at me said.

"These things make us stronger bro sadly it's just a part of life and remember that you are not the only person who got mentally fucked by a relationship cause I mean we spoke about this a year ago and it still torments me at times up to this day".

Before Jason continue I stopped him for a bit and said.

"Bro you don't have to talk about this....".

Jason laughed and said.

"Nah I want to talk about this bro, I'll continue if you please".

"Okay bro if you say so".

Jason continued talking about what happened to his ex girlfriend while walking up and down on the rood.

"So yeah long story short my ex girlfriend was depressed and she didn't show me any signs of it and to make it worst she sent me a message before she hung herself after she had her last meal with her family and it said".

Jason began reading the text message that he saved on his phone that was from his ex.

"I can't take this anymore I feel so worthless, I have no purpose , life hates me and whenever I try it kicks me down and I really just can't take this anymore. Nothing I do is ever enough and I am sorry that I didn't tell you how I felt before but I just want to let you know that I truly enjoyed our time together but I have to go, I can't stay here anymore".

After Jason had finish reading that text message to me a tear ran down my face and I sobbed, I couldn't possible know what exactly Jason had to go throughout those times but atleast now I know why up to this point he is so afraid to start a new relationship. Jason was such a good friend he wanted to see me happy with someone, but it wasn't like I needed anyone to be happy but apart of me wanted that and it made me upset at times because I can't shake the feeling. I sighed and wiped my tears and gave Jason a hug and said.

"Bro I'm so sorry man I didn't want you to talk about what happened to your last girlfriend but I feel like I somehow forced you to talk about it".

Jason had some tears in his eyes and he said.

"I wish I had known what she was going through so that I could have helped her in some way but I was too late , I came to accept that she is gone but for now I am gonna stay away from a relationship for now".

"I completely understand bro, damn we both been through a lot huh, Let's just keep our heads up and go through this together bro".

Jason and I agreed and we just continued to chill on my roof while listening to some post malone but then out of no where we both heard a scream.

"PLEASE STOOOOOOP!!!!!!".

Jason and I looked at each other and jumped off the rood quickly to see what was the problem at this time because now it was midnight so this was very unexpected. Jason and I ran out on the side walk and to our surprise we saw Jenny on the ground and a guy was hitting her no stop so of course Jason and I rushed over to help her.

"Jenny don't worry anymore we are here". I said with a very angry expression on my face.

Jenny was shaking and you could see that she was completely terrified of what was happening. Jason ran and jump kicked the tall guy and he fell but before he fell he held onto Jason's leg so I ran in I started to punch the guy in his face and Jason quickly got away and began helping me to beat up the guy. The tall guy took out a knife and cut me on my right leg and I fell back but before Jason could take the knife away from the stranger the man got away. The cut that I got wasn't deep so I was okay, I walked over to Jenny and helped her up but before she could say anything she passed out in my arms. I looked at Jason and said.

"Bro do you mind sleeping over my place for the night? I want us to watch Jenny to make sure she is alright and then we can get some answerds from her".

"You don't have to ask me twice, Jenny is gonna be your new girlfriend after all and a sister to me so of course I'll sleep over for tonight".

"Wow you didn't have to go say that Jenny would be my new girlfriend you know but whatever let's go".

Jason laughed and both of us went into my house and I lay Jenny to rest in my bed while Jason and I slept in the guest room.
