The first day of classes

It was now a few days later, Harry and Draco just plodded along hogwarts for the past days looking around to get familiar with all the routes and rooms. They where both stood beside each other nervous as they waited in the common room for the prefect to come along and tell them about what is going to happen today, Draco nervously twisted his hands skin while he looked around every second flinching at almost anything.
"Dray" Harry said to him as he was concerned about Draco, Draco's eyes suddenly darted up to look into Harry's as he gave Harry a questioning look.
"You know everting will go fine today,  we will be together, side by side so don't worry Dray you'll be fine" Harry said to him while he secretly held his hand so that no one should see.
"Alright First years listen up" a loud voice said from the bottom of the stairway that lead up to the bedrooms.
"In a moment I will lead you down to the hall for breakfast as usual but when it hits 9:30am all wait out side the grate hall and I will take you to you first class and I shall do this for every class today so you get the hand of where to go." The prefect said as he then proceeded to look for something on the desk beside him.
"I'll shall hand out your time tables now, so everyone take one and pass it on" everyone started to pass them along until they where all gone.
Harry and Draco started to look at their timetables to see what there where in for.

"Har, will it be weird for you on the DADA lessons knowing that your dads really there" Draco asked Harry as they had both read the time tables and where fairly pleased with them.
Harry and Draco talked on there way down to the hall for breakfast, the whole group sat at the Slytherin table along with the rest of there house.
HARRYS POV
Me and Draco sat down at the end of the table and began to eat, I had some eggs and some pumpkin juice while Draco had some cereal. We talked as usual while we held hands under the table until we had to leave.
It was now time to leave for class, Draco was beyond nervous while I was, on the inside exited as it's my first ever time to learn about the new me. We got up with everyone else and went to find our prefect.
"Right follow me first years, your first class is Herbology" he announced to us as he led us to the green houses outside.
We learnt about mandrakes that lesson it was very interesting, Draco seemed to enjoy it too. We where just walking up to the castle and where in the entrance hall way waiting for everyone to catch up with the group.
"Ha-" I hear Draco say to me as he got cut off by another voice.
"Boys" this deep elderly voice say politely behind us, we both turned out heads around to see the old kroot himself, I could not even bare the sight of him standing there as if he was some god. Me and Draco just smiled to him greeting him a hello back, we are trying to play along to his little game so he won't suspect we know anything, it was my fathers idea.
"Harry I was wondering if I could borrow you for a few moments to discus something" Dumbledore said to me and nodded and I told Draco I would see him at Charms. Draco nodded to me and joined the rest of the group that had started to walk up the stairs.
"Come boy, we shall take a long walk to your next class, I don't want to deprive you of your education now" he chuckled, his chuckle just made me want to hex him. We started to slowly walk in the direction of the Charms class room, while dumbledore started to talk.
"I just wanted to see how you are getting on my boy" he asked me, 'I really hate how he keeps referring to me as 'my boy''I though to myself as I tried to contain my anger.
"Everting is good good sir, me and Draco are having a really good time" I said to him with a smile, Dumbledore seemed happily enough until I mentioned Draco
"That is good my boy, ahh yes it had come to my notice that you have been spending a lot of time with Mr Malfoy"  he said in a oddly strange way to me.
"Yes he is my best friend and that is what friend do isn't it sir" I said to him feeling as if Dumbledore was trying to to attack me and Draco's 'thing'.
"So how did that happen, your friendship with Draco. If you don't mind me asking" Dumbledore asked me slyly while he slowed down even more in his tracks.
"Well Draco and I met at his house one day while I was visiting Lucius, and it sort of just blossomed from there on" I said to him not telling him the whole truth about the circumstances of the events, I don't want a monster like him knowing my weakness or anything personal about me.
"Oh right well as long as you are happy with the Malfoys then thats good. I just though it was a bit odd having a potter and Malfoy being civilised towards each other, you know from the history between you's all" Dumbledore said to me as if he was testing me about my knowing of my 'family' history.  Of course my father told me all about the potter and Malfoy rival and I was well prepared for it all.
"Yes I am aware of the rival between the malfoys and the potters, but the past is in the past and time changes. I'm not going to let a silly rival get in the way of what is human decency and a good strong friendship" I fired back to him getting fed up of the conversation. I noticed that we had gotten to a door that had charms written on it so I bluntly said if there was anything else he wanted to know an if not then goodbye.

The rest of the day I was so angry at the old man for what he did to my father and for everything . I could have had the chance to have a normal childhood with my real non evil father but instead I got left with an abusive family. Me and Draco had dinner that night and then went up to the dorm and did some homework together for charms and Herbology. It was currently 9:03 pm and I was tired, I turned my head to the right of me to tell Draco that I was going to go to sleep but I already found him sleeping on his homework, he looked so cute and peaceful, I admired him for a few moments. Then i gently woke him up so he could get his pjs on and brush his teeth, we did this together and then got into bed and cuddled up together as usual and then said good night to Escher other and fell fast asleep.
