The kiss that started all

Briars POV

I was in his arms and I had my arms around his neck, I looked into his light brown eyes, he was smiling.
I kissed him.
His soft lips touched mine.
He kissed me back.
I untangled myself from his arms and sat down on the window ledge
"You j-j-just.."
"Kissed you"
We looked at each other in disbelief.
He was my first kiss and honestly it was magical.
It was like fireworks went off
But I knew I couldn't do that again it wouldn't be right.. would it.

Jakes POV

I took her by her hand and made her stand up. I looked at her into her beautiful twinkly eyes, I walked over to her radio and put on a song we could dance to together, I put on I had the time of my life from that movie dirty dancing.
We danced and laughed and had fun but we hadn't realized the time 2.00 am
"Shit I've gotta go home"
"Really it's too bad"
She walked me to the door, she opened the door for me and we stood there for a moment, she laughed.
"Well I guess this is a goodnight"
"Yeah I guess.. jake?"
"Ye.." she kissed me before I finished my sentence.
I looked at her starstuck.
"Goodnight" she started to close the door 
"G-goodnight" I said this just after she had closed the door, I leaned against the door.

Briars POV

I leaned against the door and as far as I know so did he, I stayed there for about five mins before going to bed.

-the next morning-
*texts*
B: on a scale of one to hungover, how hungover are you lmao

P: I'm hunnnggggovvverrr

B: this is why I don't drink lmao
Anyway wanna go out to the town later just like a girly thing Ive something to tell you!

P: oooooo the tea shall be spilt!

B: I'll be at the café at 12

P: okkk see you then

I got dressed in a pair of jeans and an oversized jumper, it wasn't too warm out so a jumper seemed ok to wear, I threw my hair into a messy bun, I put my earphones in and listened to my favorite podcast "Shane and friends"

The café was were we would always hang out like people hung around parks we went to the café, a lot of the people from our school went there because the food was cheap and it was always empty so you didn't have to worry bout some old person complaining about you.

Penny was sitting there with a cup of coffee and her head in her hands

"Well, well, Well  isn't the look of shame"
"I stayed in Joeys last night and I feel like I was such a burden"
"You were drunk, you don't realize what your saying or doing so it's ok"
We talked for a while till I heard a ding from my phone
*texts*
U: hey!

B: who's this??

U:jake !

B: oh haha let me save you into my phone

*saves into phone*

J: haha we should hang out again sometime?

B: yeah we definitely should!

J: great how about tonight?

B: yeah sure! Come over to mine we'll watch a cringy movie or something

J: I'd like that so around 6

B: 6 is perfect!

J: ok! See you at six

B: see you good sir

J: farewell my lady!

"Sooo whos Prince Charming"
"Huh"
"I've never seen such a big smile on your face it's obvious that you met someone last night"
"Nooo.... well Jake stayed to help last night.."
"OH MY.. what happened between you two"
"Nothing we just cleaned up"

That was a lie but I couldn't tell penny she'd make a big deal about it and one... two little kisses aren't a big deal right.

"Briar I've to go over to joeys, you wanna come.. Jake is gonna be there"
"I'm only coming because you asked no other reason"

We got up and payed for penny's coffee
And left the café to got to joeys it was 12.30 so Joey would have to be up by now.

We knocked on his door and waited for at least 10 mins before knocking again.

" he must have a spare key lying around for like Incase he gets locked out"

We looked around, under the doormat, in the postbox, we looked everywhere until I look behind this big stupid plant and there it was.

"Goddamnit penny you said you looked underneath the fucking plant"
"Uhhhh"

I unlocked the door, penny told me to go into the sitting room and she'd go get Joey, then I heard the door open

"Joey... JOey....JOEY"

I knew that voice, it was Jake, he was joeys best friend why wouldn't he be here. I walked out of the sitting room and into the hall and there he was, I don't know why but he was wearing this leather jacket and oh my lord did he look good in it.

"Briar! What's up!"

He gave me the biggest hug and we walked into the sitting room and started chatting. We had sat there for a bout an hour before penny and Joey came downstairs. We all sat and talked for a what seemed like ten mins was really hours.

" oh god look at the time, I need to get home"

As I stood up, Jake looked up at me and stood up too, we said our goodbyes to Joey and penny and left.

"Jake remember you're coming over at six"
"Yeah I remember"
"Well see ye then"

Before I went home, I ran into the corner shop that was two houses down from mine, I grabbed a cheese pizza, payed for it and ran home.
5.00pm, I ran upstairs to get ready, honestly I was hoping this would turn into a da.... no we were just friends that's all.
I wore ripped jeans and a black crop top with the same make up I did for the party,
I heard a knock on the door
"Hold on a second"

I ran down the stairs to answer the door

"Hello Briar".....
