The next day was the same as the day before. Katara waited for hours before Zuko showed up. At least this time she could walk around the whole cell while she waited. Then he finally showed up, again without any tea.

Katara looked at him and couldn't keep herself from smiling slightly. He barely smiled back at her. Then, he saw her ankle and his smile fell. He could see how painful it was, she was barely putting any weight on it and it was swollen and inflamed. "Come with me." He stepped out into the hall.

She was very confused and hesitated slightly. 'Where is he taking me...? He can't be letting me go... can he?' She tried to walk to him but fell as soon as she put weight on her injured ankle, crying out in pain. Zuko managed to catch her just before she hit the ground, immediately picking her up bridal style.

He carried her through the halls of the ship until they came to a specific door. Setting her legs down for a second, he opened the door to reveal a bedroom. In it was the bag she had with her when she was captured, hanging on a wall. She looked around more and saw that her mother's necklace, which had fallen off during the fight, was also there on a dresser near the door.

Katara effortfully limped to the dresser and picked up the necklace, then looked around the room more/ "Is this why you've been late? You were doing this?" She looked at Zuko and he nodded.

"I kinda felt bad... leaving you in that cell..." He mumbled almost shyly, earning a small smile from Katara.

"Thank you." She put her mother's necklace back on and he barely smiled back.
