Age: 4-5

Richie had helped decorate the house for all of his friends from day care to come have a party.

Richie was sitting on his porch because he was just so excited for all of his friends to arrive.

"Hello Richie." Stanley Uris said and he walked up to the porch looking really clean and polished.

"Welcome Stanley!" Richie said as he grabbed a party hat and put it on the other boy having to stand on his tip toes to reach.

"I don't like this hat" Stanley said.

"Too bad. It's my party I make the rules." Richie glared at Stanley as he was starting to take the hat off

After Stanley walked into the house with his mother Eddie began to walk up to the porch.

"Richie! I haven't seen you since yesterday!" Eddie said and went up to Richie and wrapped his arms around him tightly.

"I know right? It's been forever!" Richie said and kissed Eddie's cheek softly.

Eddie turned red and then turned to Stanley.

"Hi Stan! I haven't seen you since yesterday either!" Eddie said, not wanting Stan to feel left out.

Stan smiled and nodded. "Yeah..." he said quietly as he moved over to the window and looked out of it hoping for someone else to show up soon and he felt like a 3rd wheel.

"Who are ya looking for Stanley?" Richie asked.

"I don't know. Probably Bill. Or Mike I guess. They are my bestest friends."

"I see how it is." Richie said and stuck his tongue out at Stan, playfully.

"Ew your tongue looks dirty. My mom says you probably have all kinda of diseases." Eddie said, looking up at Richie.

After Eddie said that Richie got a confused look and then Beverly began to walk in the door and Bill walked in right after her.

"Hi Bev! Hey Bill!" Richie yelled and looked down at Eddie who ran up to Beverly and hugged her. "Hi Beverly"

Eddie really admired Beverly for reasons that he couldn't really understand. Maybe it was because he related to how feminine she was and he didn't feel like the only girly one when she was around.

"Hi Eddie!" Beverly said and hugged Eddie back which instantly made Richie jealous. He didn't want Beverly to steal his best friend.

Eddie let go of Beverly and then waved kindly at Bill. "Welcome Bill"

Bill smiled and waved back and then smiled at Stan who had ran up to the door to greet him.

Stan compeltly ignored Beverly.

"Stan the man why do you have your panties in a wad?" Richie asked

"How rude! I don't wear panties!" Stan said in defense.

Eddie quickly ran over to Richie and wrapped his arms around his torso, clinging onto him.

"Aw Eddie is in love with me!" Richie said and kissed the top of Eddie's head.

Eddie let go of Richie "Ew no!"

"Good because that would make you gay and gay is weird." Richie said

"Wait what is gay?" Eddie asked looking up at Richie with furrowed eyebrows.

"Gay means a boy in love with a boy." Richie answered.

"Is gay bad?" Eddie asked, curiously.

"Well not really" Richie answered, looking into the shorter boys eyes.

"Well i'm not in love with you Richie" Eddie said and looked away from Richie.

Richie leaned down to kiss Eddie's cheek but Eddie quickly ran away.

Stan looked at Richie "Happy birthday meanie"
