~ Ch. 1 ~

                       Heba's POV

    We finally landed after a tirelessly long flight. Luckily, Yugi fell asleep this time, which allowed me to contact Seto and Joey, who I had left in charge in my absence. I decided it was time for us to come home after our two years vacation because I heard rumors. Seto proved to me over the phone that they were true, someone was trying to knock the three of us out of power. This only spelled a gang war if something isn't done about it and soon. I had received another call from Pegasus, who is wanting an audience with all three gangs to prevent this from escalating and harming the humans, thus risk exposing all of the supernaturals. I looked over and woke up my younger brother.........or should I say adopted brother. You see, his parents had died when he was only two years old. They were already members of our Mafia sect so, my family took him in and raised him as well as me. There isn't much difference between us, except for our skin tones, whereas I have a deep tan and Yugi is as pale as they come. But, one thing that he does not know, and I refuse to ever tell him, is that I am the leader of the Black Luster Lycans. Yugi hates anything to do with violence, for he is so innocent and I plan to keep him away from danger as long as possible. He is too kind and caring to ever get involved, nor do I ever want him involved. I reached over and woke him up, telling him that we have arrived home. 

   I dropped Yugi off at our home and told him that I had business to do before I went to bed. He frowned but nodded anyway. "Should I leave the door unlocked?" Yugi asked. "No, I will be staying at our condo tonight. Stay here with Grandpa and we'll move into our new house tomorrow. Goodnight and remember, I love you." I told him. "Goodnight Heba, love you too! I'll be sure to let Grandpa know you'll be at the condo tonight." he said, then went inside our home, the Kame Game Shop. I had the driver swing over to pick up my high ranks, Joey, Seto, Bakura, Marik, Mai, and Tristan.

    "What has the damage been since I've been gone. I want a full report." I said, once everyone was in the limo and we made our way to Pegasus' estate. "No damage is taken from our side. Red Eyes and Blue Eyes have been hit the hardest with stolen goods from shipments and almost a few street fights." Seto relayed. "Do we have reason to suspect that this could be caused by someone from within our ranks? Trying to start a feud?" I asked. "No, I've had everyone go through extensive interrogation. No one knows anything." Tristan explained. Before anymore was said, we had arrived.

    The Trinity Mansion, as Pegasus had it named, was a very impressive place to behold. With the large spotting lights angled towards the sky like a beacon, while colors illuminated the windows of the house from the party going on inside. The classical music could be heard for miles. All eyes turned towards us as we stepped out of the limo, no one dared to look away. 'Good thing I changed into my suit on the plane' I thought, referring to my all black Calvin Klein three-piece suit. I could smell the damn lust rolling off the humans in droves. Ugh, it sickens me to have humans staring at me. I noticed that we were the first group to arrive. Atem is probably going to be showing off his fancy whatever name brand car and Yami will probably be fashionably late. I did not bother to even wait for a second longer before my group and I started towards the stairs, meeting a butler and he led us to the usual meeting room. "Same rules apply as they do every year. No killing, no attacks, and no attempts at assaulting your enemies. Pegasus is waiting inside and as soon as the other two parties arrive, the meeting shall commence, you may enter. You have no protection as this is Middle ground." the butler said, walking away as more cars pulled up. We went inside and I nodded to Pegasus in greeting. "I smell wet dog." I heard Marik whisper and couldn't help but laugh at his remark. Not long the other two parties arrived with their chains of command. Atem Hassan aka "T.O.G", wearing a dark navy blue Calvin Klein suit, followed by Seth, Isis, Mana, Odion, and Jono. As usual, Yami Sennen aka "O.G", dressed in a white Armani suit with a red tie, followed by Ishizu, Duke, Malik, Mahad, Akeifa, and Valon once they took their seats, the room was dead silent, until Pegasus broke it.

    "Welcome everyone! I do say it has been such a long time. But, now things are starting to heat up and need to be cleared away. We must remain hidden to the humans and in light of recent events, we are having problems. These problems need to be addressed now." Pegasus stated. "Well, I haven't the faintest idea, seeing as how I had just returned less than an hour ago from Egypt. It's up to the Mutts to explain." I said, earning growls in return. "Someone has been stealing my shipments." Atem and Yami had said in unison, glaring at each other. Is this really what all the fuss was about? God, I'm surrounded by idiots.....I drowned out the rest of the meeting while the three of them discussed the issues at hand. I had peeked at my phone to look at the security footage inside my house, making sure Yugi and Grandpa were okay, only to see that they were both asleep.

    "What has your eyes Heba? If it is so important would you like to share?" Atem said, smirking at having caught me off my guard. "It does not concern you." I said, locking my phone and putting it in my pocket. The meeting was over after a few more minutes and my group and I stood up to leave. I took a champagne glass as a waiter walked by and signaled for the rest of my crew to go inside the limo while I waited on the top step, thinking. "You were out of it during the meeting this time." I heard Atem's smooth baritone voice say beside me. I downed the rest of the drink before answering him. "Did it bother you?" I asked, uninterested in his feelings. "No, just has me thinking what would be so important for you to ignore much of the meeting?" Atem continued, Yami joined us as he said this. "It is of no concern to you. I will warn you both now, if I see any of you blues or reds, I will not hesitate to have my people shoot them on site." I said. "The same applies to my men as well. Either blues or purples on my lands I will not hesitate." Yami interjected. We walked down the stairs and went our separate ways.

    "Was there any problems?" Seto asked. "No, just laying down the law. Tristan, when I return to the condo, I want you to take this limo and go retrieve Yugi. You and he are to stay there for the rest of the night before school tomorrow. I want Yugi to be surrounded by at least one of our men every hour of every day. If there is a single person looking at him I want him dealt with. Bakura, the same applies to your brother but it will not be a problem, seeing as how Yugi and Ryou are best friends." I said. The rest of the ride was silent. Yugi was confused as to why I had him and Joey staying at the condo as well as mad that I had him woken up in the middle of the night. My only response was to hold him close as he fell asleep in my arms. I will not lose him. I must be extremely careful being back here now, especially since he is the best-kept secret within our gang. I fear how having him go to public school will be. "Sleep well baby brother." I whispered to him in our native Arabic tongue.
