~ Ch. 5 ~

                 Atem's POV

    I had to leave early before Yami woke up. I had to see to business with Seth. I got dressed and left a note on my pillow for Yami. I also left because I feel bad......I somewhat lied to him last night. When he showed me that picture of Yugi.....I couldn't believe it. Years ago, back when I still lived in Egypt, when I was twelve, I had just finished my first mission and was on my way back when I ran into a younger boy, must've been eight I think. Anyway, he was being chased by a rabid Doberman. The boy must've run on instinct, thus causing the chase. He was heading towards me, not looking my way because he was too concerned with how close the animal was getting. I grabbed a knife I kept hidden in my pants and threw it at the dog, injuring it and making it limp off. The boy didn't even notice because next thing I know I'm on the ground and the boy is on top of me.

    "S-sorry! I didn't see you! I'm so sorry!" the boy kept apologizing as he helped me stand up. "It's no problem. At least I was able to get the dog to stop chasing you." I told him. This shocked him and he looked behind him to find that the dog was gone. "How'd you do that?!" he asked, amazed. I shrugged, "I threw a rock at it and it backed off." I explained, deciding not to tell the boy that I kept a knife on me and threw it at the dog. "My name's Yugi." he said, holding out his hand for me to shake. "Atem," I said, taking his hand in mine. My wolf was interested in this boy, and so was I.......he's cute. "So Yugi, what are you doing out here at this hour?" I asked him. "Oh well, I got lost. I'm supposed to meet with my brother at our hotel but I took a wrong turn. Do you know where the Three Kings is?" he asked me. "I'm actually headed there myself. I'll walk with you. I'm staying there with my cousin." We started walking and made small talk along the way. I learned many things about him, he asked me questions about myself too, luckily I didn't have to lie about any of them. They were simple things. We arrived shortly to the hotel and funny enough, we were staying on the same floor, but opposite directions. "I hope we run into each other again Yugi." I said to him. "Me too Atem! Thanks for the help!" Yugi said and we bid each other good night.

    We meet regularly and were really good friends. I was sixteen when I had to leave Cairo and Yugi. I had to lie to him and tell him that my parents had gotten a really good job promotion to Japan. I was sad to leave him. The boy really grew on me. We did write to each other but that was before I became the leader of the Blue Eyes Aces. Time slipped away from me and I thought I'd never see him again. Until now........

~ Time Skip ~

    Seth and I were relaxing at a local jazz bar when some certain people walked in. I instantly recognized the two members of the Black Luster Lycans as well as their fellow companion...Yugi. My inner wolf was purring as his scent became clear to me. Yup, now I know there is no doubt about it. Yugi is mine and Yami's missing piece. I saw him being lead by Joey to the acoustic guitar. I wonder if he still plays? No sooner had I thought that he started to play and I was captured by his melodic voice that could outrival a Sirens. "Is that Heba's brother?" Seth asked, I simply nodded as I walked over to him to get his attention before he sat down. I saw Joey and Tristan immediately tense and reach for their hidden guns. "You've gotten better since the last time I saw you." I said, getting Yugi's attention. He turned around and his smile was so wide and his eyes lit up. "Atem!" he said, latching onto me in a hug. I returned the gesture. His scent is weak...Heba must be having him take represent pills to dampen his scent. But, now that I'm this close there is no mistaking it. Yugi is definitely the missing piece.

    "Yugi get away from him!" Tristan said sternly. Yugi was confused at his reaction. "Guys, this is Atem. He's one of my oldest friends from back when we lived in Cairo together." Yugi explained. Seth came up to us, I could see out of the corner of my eye that he discretely had a hand on his hidden gun underneath his coat. "Yugi....." Joey said warningly. Yugi just shook his head, ignoring him and grabbing my arm, leading us over to the bar. I noticed that Tristan decided to make a call, no doubt in my mind that he was calling Heba. Glasses were placed in front of us. "You still drink Vodka right?" Yugi asked. Damn, his memory is good. "Yes, and I take it that is a Boomerang? You should be careful Yugi, that has a lot of stuff in it." I said, taking a sip. He didn't seem to care as he took a big swig of it. We started catching up and then he got to something really interesting...

    "Ever since we've come back here Heba has been acting really weird. Well, everyone has cousin Seth, Joey, and even Tristan. I don't understand it. And I'm sorry for how they acted towards you. That was really rude of them." Yugi started rambling. So Heba hasn't told Yugi that he is the leader of the Black Luster Lycans? I wonder what else he has been hiding from him. Granted I'm going to have to tell him at some point that I am the leader of the Blue Eyes Aces....but that can wait. "Shit.....my brother is here. Right.....I have to go hide in a cave in a half hour. It's a full moon tonight and you know what that means. Also, I've been getting some dreams lately. I think it's a sign of the members of my Triad slash Mates being in this town. I wonder if they'll find me tonight...It would be easy for them to sense me, especially with the full moon. Great, Heba doesn't look happy. Well, I better go leave with him before he causes a scene. It's been wonderful catching up with you Atem. I hope we will run into each other again soon." Yugi said, finishing up his drink in one last gulp and hugging me. My inner wolf couldn't stop purring at the fact that our final Mate was in our arms. I made sure to leave my scent on him. "I'll see you soon Yugi." I whispered as I watched him walk out the door. Now I better go get Yami and explain everything to him. Then we can head out tonight to finally claim our missing piece.

[ So I finally did a chapter in Atem's view!! I actually had most of it written up the other night but I was too tired and thought it was too short to post at the time. Hope ya'll like it!!
