~ Ch. 6 ~

                        Yugi's POV

    The ride to the outskirts of Domino was silent in the car. Heba wouldn't even look at me.....damn him........he knows how much I hate silence. Is this because I was hanging out with Atem instead of Joey and Tristan? That couldn't possibly be the reason.....Brother, what is going on in your mind? What are you hiding from me? We never hid anything from each other......when did that change? We pulled up to the outskirts of town where the woods started and we made our trek towards where the cave is, with Joey leading the way. It took about ten minutes and the tension was so thick you could cut it with a butterknife......maybe I should talk to Heba before I have to shift. The only problem is he's so thick-headed he'd probably try to avoid the subject. Maybe I'll just wait until after tonight. I couldn't help but smell a mix of other supernaturals around us. Some vampires, some werewolves, some of our species, and some were-tigers. Okay, now I'm getting freaked out. Why are there so many different magical creatures congregated around this area together? I don't understand.......We eventually came to the cave and I followed Heba inside while Joey, Seto, Tristan, and Bakura waited for Heba outside. I walked in with him and he turned his back, allowing me privacy.

      "I don't want you hanging out with Atem anymore" he said. "Why? That is not your decision to make." I said, mad that he's telling me who I can and can't be friends with. "Who the hell do you think you are to demand something like that?! He is my oldest friend and I will not allow you to interfere with my friendships with people!" I said. "You don't know him!" Heba rounded on me. "What the hell do you mean?! You're the one who doesn't know him! He was the only friend I had growing up before I met Joey, Tristan, and Bakura! You were the one who never hung out with us all those years ago! You were always so 'busy' all the time! You barely made time for me! Where were you when I was getting chased by a crazy dog?! Or when I was being threatened to hand over my money not once but twice?! In your room studying! THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS THERE FOR ME WAS ATEM!!" I shouted at him. I felt the change take place as the moon rose at its highest and in less than a minute, I was in my other form, wings extended as far as my twelve-foot wingspan would allow in this space, and I flew out and away from Heba. I know I am angry and I will not let my anger hurt my brother. I'll return when I am calm.

    I ignored the others yelling at me to get back in the cave as I soared higher and higher into the night sky. Flying always helped me relax and was quick to calm me down. I did some flips and a few tricks in the air, somewhat equivalent to an acrobat, but much more free-flowing.

     I don't get it. Atem is a good guy. I don't know why Heba doesn't like him. Is it because he's a werewolf? That could be it....but it still gives him no right to tell me who I can and can't hang out with! Yes, he's my older brother but that does not mean that he is my father! He can take whatever stick he has and shove it up his butt! I decided to land next to a small river to rest my wings before I had to fly off again. My tail thrashed in agitation as I am still angry at Heba. I do- my thoughts were interrupted by a twig snap behind me. I turned around, ready to fight if I had to, and saw two large werewolves come out of the bushes. One of them had a black and red coat, while the other had a black and gold coat, with a purple diamond on the forehead. I started to hiss in warning, not knowing what these two wanted. Until I was washed over by the powerful scents and I knew a moment later why they were here.....these two are my Mates. I folded my wings against my back, even though these two are my Mates, I still have to be cautious.....I don't know if they even know that they are my Mates, I don't know that many werewolves. The two of them looked at each other and the gold one nodded to the red one and said black and red werewolf shifted........into ATEM?! He never told me he was a werewolf! He kneeled in front of me, smiling.

    "I told you I'd see you later, Yugi....." he said, laying a hand on my cheek. I gazed at him, asking for answers with my eyes and he understood. "I knew you were my missing Mate in our Triad. It pained me to leave you all those years ago. I know I should've told you that I was a werewolf and I am truly sorry for that." Atem said. The gold wolf nudged his shoulder and Atem smiled at him. "Yugi, this is our other Mate, Yami. We found each other only a couple of years ago. If you will allow us.......we would be honored to be your Mates in your Triad. We will be devoted to you and only you, we will never harm you in any way possible. We will love you unconditionally......" Atem trailed off, not needing to say more as I leaned my head into his hand a licked it. Atem smiled, and Yami, who is still in wolf form, barked in happiness.

    "You can't shift back during the full moon can you?" Atem asked I shook my head sadly. "It's alright, we can mark you later......" Atem trailed off as he looked at Yami, who started to sniff my neck, probably wanting to leave his sent on me. That's what I thought until I felt a sharp pain in his teeth puncture my neck, indicating that he had marked me. I hissed in pain and my body went slack against Atem. "Yami! I told you to wait." Atem said, to our other Mate, who licked at the mark he left and shifted back. Once I got a clear look at him, he looked like almost an exact copy of Atem, expect paler and maybe a few inches shorter.

    "Sorry beloveds. Atem, I just couldn't resist he smells amazing and my instincts took over." Yami explained, kneeling beside me next to Atem. I nudged Atem's hand and left my neck open to him, indicating that I wanted him to complete our bonding. The look in his eyes, I knew he was asking for my permission, I simply nodded and relaxed against Yami. Atem shifted and bit my neck, near the mark that Yami had already left. I hissed slightly in pain and it was replaced with a calming sensation when Atem started to lick it. Then a thought suddenly popped into my head.

    How am I supposed to explain this to Heba?
