Chapter 3- More Food Wow

Y/n rubbed her eyes, yawning. Steven was in the kitchen microwaving something and several syrup soaked waffles were on the counter.

Y/n surprisingly didn't feel like eating to much, so she just sat at the bar watching Steven make his breakfast. It was surprisingly large, topped with popcorn, whipped cream, and a perfectly placed strawberry.

"Hey Steven." Y/n smiled. Steven took his attention off of the waffle and looked to Y/n.

"Isn't it beautiful? The gems and us are all gonna eat it together!" Steven said, proudly putting his hands on his hips.

Y/n looked around, yawning. "I don't see anyone here- How are you gonna get their attention?"

Steven pauses for a moment before. "I banged on their door, I guess I'm just waiting for one of them to come in."

Y/n hums before beginning to make breakfast for herself. Steven abruptly stopped her. "No! Y/n you can't eat yet or else you won't be able to eat the Together Breakfast."

"Sorry Steven, but popcorn and syrup doesn't seem like a super good combination." Y/n attention snapped to the warp pad as Garnet warped in holding a scroll.

"Garnet!" Steven shouts, grabbing the breakfast and running over to the gem.

"Check it out! It's not exactly healthy, but it's in a stack, so I guess you could say, it's a.. balanced breakfast?!" Y/n cringed a bit, Garnet not pulling any reaction.

"You know, like I made us all breakfast. I thought we could eat together. Like, like best buds!" Steven smiles, holding the plate up. Garnet looks back down to her scroll, shaking her head.

"I can't stay. There's business to attend to inside the Temple." Garnet lifts her hands up, opening the door across from the warp pad. Y/n watches in amazement, trying to see inside the room. There looked to be a large pool of glowing liquid, possibly lava, and several bubbles.

Steven's voice cut through Y/n's thoughts. "Aw, business? Like what?"

"I have to burn this." Garnet holds up the scroll, unrolling it. Several mystical symbols were drawn on it and whispers could be heard, coming from the scroll.

"Cool!" Steven smiled, taking out his phone and snapping a picture, looking at it in amazement.

Garnet takes the phone from Steven's hands, giving it a brief looking before staring at Steven.

"I have to burn this too."

Garnet walks out of the room and into the temple, the door shutting as Steven yelps, "Ah! No! My apps!"

"You can use mine." Y/n suggests, leaning on the counter.

Steven runs up to the door, lifting his shirt and pressing his gem against the door. "Door! Open! Y/n, can you come here?"

Y/n walks over and Steven pushes her onto the door. Nothing happens and Steven turns around, dejected. He stares at his gem before sighing.

"Ugh.. you never work when I need you to.."

Steven begins to walk back into the kitchen when a purple man dressed as a police officer burst through the door. "Dumb police! Uhh.. you're dumb!" He said in a weird voice. Y/n chucked a book at were he was standing.

"Woah!" He yelps, ducking. He then points a very weird looking gun at Steven's breakfast. Steven gasped, jumping in front of it getting himself drenched.

The cop laughs loudly and then his head shape shifted into Amethysts. "Oh man, I totally got you! You should've seen the look on your face!"

Steven sighs, walking to the closet. "Ah, I knew it was you..."
