Chapter 4- Self Defense

@DarkJadeSoul1300 So I added your OC in, but she isn't really aware that the Crystal Gems kinda exist... I'm trying to find ways to kinda put characters in without contradicting what Y/n knows and stuff. :)

Y/n was walking around the beach, it was a slightly rainy day so she decided to walk around. Y/n didn't walk into too new, so she decided to just go to The Big Doughnut and get some food for her and Steven.

Y/n was truly looking for Connie. She had finished the first book and wanted to give it back to Connie. Connie wasn't in her usual reading space, so Y/n decided to look in the library. She couldn't find Connie, but managed to find the second book in the series.

While Y/n was lost in the book, somebody walked up to her, lightly tapping her on the shoulder.

Y/n looked up to see someone who was taller than her. She had blue skin, which struck Y/n as suspicious. No human had blue skin.

"H-Hi, I'm Jackie. Sorry for interrupting your reading but I was looking for the third book in that series.. do you know where it is..?" Jackie said, quietly.

Y/n smiled, nodding. "Yeah, It's in order. I'll show you were it is.. do you like the series.

Jackie smiles slightly. "Hah, yeah. I've read it over and over.. but I always end up loosing the spot where the books are."

Y/n chuckled slightly. "I actually came here to return a book to someone.. here you go." The blue girl pulled a book out of the shelf, opening it slightly. That was when Y/n noticed she had a gem on her elbow.

"Oh!" She gasped. "Y-you have a gem!" Jackie looked down to her elbow before raising an eyebrow.

"I didn't know a human would know about the gems. Are you a gem?" Y/n shrugged.

"I don't.. know.. um.." She began making her way over to the checkout. "I live with gems, but I don't have one.. at least not one I know of.."

Jackie nodded a bit. Y/n took the book stood awkwardly. "Um well.. my name is Y/n.. Y/n Q-Quartz Universe."

Jackie nodded. "Okay, bye Y/n.. guess I'll see you later."

Y/n gasps slightly and pulls out her phone. "O-oh! Do you have a phone?"

Jackie nods, putting the book down and taking out a phone. "You want a phone number? Humans say that a lot."

Y/n chuckled a bit. "Yeah! To text and stuff." Jackie put in her number and smiled slightly.

Y/n texted 'hi' and Jackie's phone rang. She smiled slightly, texting something back.

"Well, I gotta go.. It was nice meeting you!" Y/n smiled, before exiting the library.

When Y/n stepped foot into the temple she was met with a half naked Steven. She put the doughnuts on the counter, before walking up to Steven, who was looking for something.

"Hey bro." Steven jumped. "Looking for your pants or something?"

He sighed. "As a matter of fact, yes. I am. Did you take them?"

Y/n laughed slightly. "No! Don't you have a drawer full of those pants or something?"

Steven frowned, looking around again. "They're lucky. I've looked under the bed.. in the kitchen too.. I don't know.." Y/n spotted a large pile on the floor, grumbling about it.

"Steven, there's pants in this pile, can't you just use them?" Steven huffed. "No! These are special pants! It's like they just got up and ran off!"
