Crossing dreams (cross x dream)

Chapter 30: The fate will be decided.

Dreams Pov.

Light cannot exist without dark, dark cannot exist withtout light. This balance these two elements work in harmony with harmony comes balance, with balance comes peace. But if this balance should be desetroyed. Havock will plague the land.

Thoughts clouded dreams mind. Really out of character for him. He stopped in his tracks thinking about alot of things. He felt troubled, something he addmitedly never really felt this strongly. Up until recent events, he felt positive feelings, was optimistic never doubting anything, his descision and the future. Dream the happy, yet also serious skeleton whos being, whos destiny, whos passion is to protect the happiness, hopes and dreams of the people that live in all Universes. Wasn't there.

Was this, this love for someone, so dangerous that it could do so much damage. Dreams mind was broken now. He was selfish. His job, his friends, The people that need him, happiness, hopes and dreams would be replaced by fear and nightmares. To finally rid of this madness he had to defeat the one who caused all of this. Dream forgot to think he just went. He forgot that without him, the happiness of everything and everyone will disappear. Nightmare would take over. Everything would be over. All of the hard work, all these years of longing and pain would've been usless. Dream was blinded by this love. He forgot how important he was. Was it better to leave this relationship be?

The desicion was already made. This might've been a big mistake. But he went with this.

Walking mindlessly, eating a bit even though it wouldn't help, a broken dream went to his battle. The battle that would decide everything in the future. The battle that will decide the fate of each and every person or monster in this universe.

But it's to late now.

"This... is stupid. My power is not to be compared to my brothers... But i've been getting stronger... I might have a chance!"

Dream said in an unbelievably hopeful tone. His hope came back sadly for a much darker reason. Dream went to find his brother. He might be the last face he'll ever see.

Meanwhile at the lab

„Where's dream? What happened." Cross asked in confusion.
„We dont Know. Dream just ran off before you woke up." „You don't know?" „Dream was devastated.. I've never seen him like that before"
„Dream kept blaming himself."
„He suddenly went away."
„And you didn't go after him?"
„Dream looked like he needed time for himself. We didn't want to destroy that."

Cross sat up and held his skull with his arms.

„Dream..where are you?" He whispered quietly.
„I'm going to go after him!"
„Cross, I don't think you are in you're right mind right now."
"What do you mean not in the right mind?!"

Cross' anger began boiling up at his unbelievable friends.

"You woke up minutes ago. You might not be stable enough to go after Dream. You might get badly injured again."
"I can't just sit here and do nothing, while Dream might be in danger!"
"But Cross! You seriously could get badly injured! Sci says, you still might be not stable enough to go out!"
"I don't care! I don't care when it comes to Dream! I can't let him slip away!"
"We don't want that either but how do you think Dream is going to feel when you're gone."
"Do you all not care about the well being of dream?"
"We do! But we also-"
"Cut that trash! You call yourselves his friends when you can't even go after him to find if he's okay?!"

An uncomfortable silence filled the room.

"Dream might be in real danger. HE'S WAY MORE IMPORTANT THAN ME! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'D THINK ABOUT MY WELL BEING, IF DREAM IS SO MUCH MORE IMPORTANT! DON't YOU FRIKIN REALIZE THAT IF DREAM IS GONE.. ALL THE HOPES AND DREAMS WILL DISAPPEAR? I AM NOT ONLY THINKING FOR DREAM. I AM ALSO THINKING OF ALL THE UNIVERSES."

He shouted at them full of anger and fear.
Cross ripped every single wire he was attached to, that kept his vital signs in check. He stood up and quickly ran away to find him. He ran and ran as fast as he could away from that place that kept him incubated. He teleported away soon after.

Meanwhile Ink, Blue and Sci were silenced in the room. Cross' words still hung heavily in the air. Then Sci just plainly went outside the room, leaving Ink and Blue. Finally Blue spoke up.
"Cross has a point."
"He seems to be overly emotional right now."
"He may be a bit, but I actually think he has a point."
"We can't do anything can we."
"We can! We can help Cross find Dream. And restore the happiness we feel!"
"How can you be so positive blue?"
"I'm not that positive to be honest but.. Ink what happened? What happened to you? What happened to the Ink who's always been caring about the creators creations? About the people living in those universes you swore to protect?"

Ink kept silent.

"We're not only doing this for Dream or Cross. We are doing this for all of the universes we travel to. We're doing this for us."

"I'm stupid. I shouldn't have only thought about them. Blue your right. Cross has a point. We will do this for all the monsters and humans that live in these universes and not let them get taken away. And the Star Sanses haven't done anything together for a while!"
"Then what are we waiting for! Let's find Dream!"

Ink teleported somewhere with Blue on the journey to find Dream. They're filled with Hopes and Dreams! Cross may have gone on his own for now, soon enough he will be joined by Ink and Blue to find Dream.

Dreams p.o.v

Suddenly I felt a wave of new hope, witch is quite endearing. I walk down the path of memories soon facing my brother again. I cannot give up now and I will not give up. For the sake of the ones I'm trying to protect I can't. I'm determined to have a happy ending for everyone. I will preserve they're hopes and dreams.

I continue on walking only to feel a wave of negative emotions. I continue my search and look around for him, going towards that negative emotion that's been piled up.

It suddenly disappeared. But return much closer.

"Hello. Brother."

Hi! I'm back after like 20 years. I'm sorry I couldn't finish this chapter earlier;; I got so busy and lazy. I also had tons of writers-block but I decided to end this one here ;) don't kill me please ^^ Also I'm sorry if my writing has gotten worse. I honestly can't tell anymore. This was a bit cringe but I hope you still enjoyed it. Also let me know how you feel about this ;).
