Evelina vs. Pregnancy

It was a confusing time for the Charming family. With Snow's new baby, Emma's new relationship, and Evelina's pregnancy, the small loft had become a chaotic place. Every day there was something new.

Emma learning to open up to Killian.

Snow and David dedicating all of their time to baby Neal.

Henry starting school again.

Regina doing her best to fix everything Pan messed up in her mayor's office.

And that left young Evelina, who felt as if she was going through her whole baby situation by herself.

Evelina didn't blame anyone, they had their own thing going on. But she did yearn for someone to comfort her when she fell into one of her emotional crying sessions.

She experienced difficult nights, especially when she spent half the afternoons puking her guts out. She sniffed loudly as she searched for a tissue to wipe her tears.

Evelina was on an emotional rollercoaster. Her never-ending crying, constant peeing, and crazy hormones were driving her and everyone around insane. About a week after Evelina spilled her pregnancy to her family, she was sent to live with Regina.

Evelina was hesitating to leave the comfort of the loft but everyone agreed she would be more comfortable in Regina's mansion.

She was not.

"Do you need anything?" Ruby asked as she handed Evelina a glass of chilled water. Evie shook her head and grunted as she sat up to sip on her drink.

"My boobs ache. I hate being fucking pregnant," Evelina cursed. Ruby chuckled and sat on a chair across from where her pregnant friend laid.

"It's scary, isn't it? Thinking that a baby is in there, ready to come out in a couple of months to call you mommy?"

"Stop, stop, I'm going to pass out," Evelina mumbled as she rubbed her temple. She took a deep breath and suddenly groaned when she felt her bladder pleading for the toilet again.

"I have to pee again."

~

Evelina scowled at the bowl before her. She looked up to Regina and then the bowl.

"What even is this?" She asked with disgust. Regina rolled her eyes and pushed the bowl closer.

"It's pea mash. It's supposed to be good for-"

"It looks like dog vomit," Evelina snapped and pushed the bowl away from her.

"I'm not eating that."

"Yes, you are-"

"No, I'm not. It's ghastly. I am not touching it," Evelina said stubbornly.
Regina's eye twitched but she didn't say anything. She simply grabbed the bowl and placed it away.

"I have to work late today. I'll see you later," Regina said bluntly and slammed the door behind her as she left. Evelina sighed. She knew Regina was never really the comforting type, especially with anyone who wasn't Henry. Evie missed Snow.

She stood from the table with a soft sigh. With heavy feet, she headed up the stairs and towards her cold room.

Evelina settled herself down for a read before she dozed off. She needed a distraction and a book was the best way to go. She picked up a book she had gotten as a gift and opened the cover.

A few chapters in and she heard the doorbell ring through the mansion. She groaned and stood up.

When she opened the door, a very flustered and confused pirate rushed inside, mumbling incoherent words. Evelina raised an eyebrow as she glanced at Hook.

"Killian? Is something wrong?" She asked cautiously.

Hook suddenly looked at her with a distressed look.

"I need your help."

~

Evelina smacked Hook's head when he finished describing his recent dilemma.

"You scared me!"

"Evelina, this is serious, I'm panicking!"

"You don't need to panic, Killian. Nobody celebrates their one week anniversary anyways. If Emma brings it up then just take her to dinner or go get ice cream or take her to the beach for a nice walk."

"That all sounds like things you would like..."

Evelina rolled her eyes and smacked Hook.

"Every women enjoys walks on the beach! It's the beach, it reminds us of when we were children and wanted to be mermaids!" She exclaimed and the pirate raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

"Now go! Get out of here and bedazzle your women!"

"Wait, why is that plate there?" Hook pointed to the plate next to the pea mush. It was a bowl filled with perfectly cut up fruit that Regina had tried to make Evelina eat with no success.

"It's just fruit."

"Regina doesn't leave cut fruit lying around, love. Have you been eating right?"

"Yes I have, what a stupid question-"

"Evelina, you know the baby needs nutrients to grow healthy-"

"I eat enough, pirate, the baby is fine!" She snapped. Evie was more than annoyed with everyone telling her what to do when it came to her pregnancy. She knew they were only trying to help but her hormones didn't want to understand.

"Evelina-"

"Stop! I'm fine, the baby is fine, and I'm not hungry," she insisted and crossed her arms. Hook sighed.

"But-"

"You're not my dad Hook! I am not eating that bloody food."

Killian opened his mouth to speak but a new voice but him completely off, and he suddenly wished he had left earlier.

"Oh yes, the fuck you are."

Evelina's blood ran cold when she heard a way too familiar voice she was not ready to face just yet. She turned on her heel towards the main door. Her pale face flushed red and small snowflakes began to drift from the ceiling as she mentally prepared herself for what could turn into a fight.

"Hi, dad."

~

Killian had booked it out of the mayor's mansion, leaving Evelina and Jack Frost to deal with the baby situation on their own. He was not one to get in the way of a family problem, especially one as delicate as Evelina's.

When her father appeared suddenly, Evelina immediately tried to cover her growing belly subtly but Jack's eyes had already seen the small bump. He couldn't tear his eyes away as he stared at his daughter's stomach. Everything was falling apart around the Frost family.

Jack knew what the bump meant. But he was afraid to admit the obvious. He wanted to deny the possibility of it.

He finally looked back up to Evelina and gulped.

"Please tell me you're just getting fat."
