Taehyung's P.O.V
Navigating my way to the second period class, the usual school noise became an irritating backdrop. Rumors of a new girl swirled around – apparently, she's a head-turner. My curiosity piqued; I wondered how pretty she could be.
"Mr. Kim, are you even listening?" Mrs. Wang's icy glare snapped me from my thoughts. "Uh, can you please repeat, ma'am?" I mumbled, fiddling with my fingers. She's really scary. "Raise your hand so Jisoo can sit next to you," she commanded. I looked up and spotted a uniquely beautiful girl standing beside her. "I... Uh," I stuttered, reluctantly raising my hand.
Jisoo took the seat next to me, introducing herself with a friendly, "Hi, I'm Jisoo!" My shy response slipped out, "H-hi... I'm Taehyung." I couldn't understand. I'm usually a social butterfly, so why am I so shy around her?
"Hey, no need to be shy!" Jisoo reassured, flashing her heart-shaped smile. "O-okay..." I managed. "You're adorable, heheh," she giggled, but my focus remained on admiring her.
At lunch, I mustered the courage to ask, "Hey, do you want to sit next to me?" Jisoo's bright smile as she agreed hinted at something indescribable.
Jisoo's P.O.V
"Hey, do you want to sit next to me at lunchtime?" Taehyung asked. "Yeah, sure!" I replied, smiling brightly at him. He isn't that shy after all, I thought with a smile.
During lunch, on my way to Taehyung's table, three girls blocked my path. "Hey, new girl, where do you think you're going?" a tall girl questioned. "Over to Taehyung's table," I replied with a bright smile. The other girls' eyes widened.
"Don't! Stay away from them," an intimidating girl warned, looking down. "Why?" I asked curiously. "Because... it's because... they have problems," another tall girl explained. "What kind of problems?" I questioned.
"Health problems. Let's forget about that. I'm Lisa, Lalisa Manoban," she introduced herself.
"I'm Jennie, Jennie Kim."
"I'm Chaeyoung, Park Chaeyoung, or Roseanne, but call me Rosé," she said. "I'm Jisoo, Kim Jisoo. I'm actually new here," I explained as they brought me to their table.
"That explains why you don't know BTS," Jennie said. "What's BTS?" I asked. "Oh, that's Taehyung's group," Rosé explained. "You should avoid them at all costs," Lisa advised. "Why? Is it because they have health problems? We shouldn't avoid them because of that. We should be the ones who help them," I argued. "Yeah, that's true, but their problems are... how can I say this... difficult to handle," Jennie explained. "What are their problems?" I asked.
"Jin, the guy with the broad shoulders, has psychosis," Lisa said. "What's that?" I asked, not quite understanding. "Well, people affected by psychosis can experience delusions, hallucinations, and confused thinking," Rosé explained. "So? Isn't that normal?" I asked, slightly annoyed. "Well, he tends to overreact. Last time, when some jerks tried bullying him because of his looks, well, they ended up with a bruise on their head. Okay, maybe knocked out," Lisa added, scratching her neck. My eyes widened in shock.
"Anyways... that cat guy over there is named Yoongi. He has paranoia," Jennie said. "Maybe he's just nervous," I suggested, looking at the cat guy. "That's what we thought too, but last time we saw him being so paranoid, he ended up punching a wall until his hands were bleeding. Yeah, and he also broke lots of stuff in the classroom," Rosé revealed.
"You see that guy over there? His name is Hoseok, but he goes by J-hope. That guy is extremely workaholic and anxious," Rosé said. "How is he workaholic? I mean, we're still in high school," I pointed out. "He's independent. He doesn't get money from his parents, even if they try to give him money. So he works at a company named 'BigHit Ent.' And let me tell you, he works a lot. Plus, he almost jumped off the building one time because he couldn't compete in his dance competition," Jennie explained.
"That guy over there is Namjoon. He has post-traumatic stress disorder," Lisa said. "That's horrible," I remarked, taking a bite out of my - I mean, chicken. "I heard he got trauma because his parents used to beat him, but suddenly they went missing!" Lisa shared. That's odd.
"That short boy over there is Jimin. He has eating disorders," Rosé said. "What? That's the worst of them all! Not being able to eat properly... that's torture," I said dramatically. "Yeah, it is. He thinks he's fat and ugly, but in reality, he's super hot and handsome. He forces himself to starve as well," Rosé
"And that guy over there, of course, you know him, Taehyung... He has schizophrenia," Jennie disclosed.
"Wahhh, really?" I asked, surprised. "Yes, he may look innocent and cute, but he can act like a whole different person once triggered," Jennie explained.
"And lastly, Jung—" I cut Lisa off. "Jungkook," I said. "You know him?" Lisa asked. "Yeah, he was my seatmate in the first period." "Oh, okay. Jungkook's problem is... he's kinda bipolar," Lisa said. "What do you mean, kinda? He is," Rosé said, casually enjoying her second bowl of rice.
Her words left me speechless, my mouth hanging open in shock. "He almost killed someone who backstabbed him last year," Lisa revealed. "So it's best that you stay away from them," Jennie advised. "No! I will not stay away from them. We should help them, not treat them like outcasts!" I passionately exclaimed. The three girls sighed in unison, "Fine," as the bell rang, signaling us to head to our next class.
