Time and Space

Sorrow

(Raphael's p.o.v.)
        I had been training with my brothers again for a while now. Leo eventually brought his assertion level down and we trained normally, just like we used to. Mona would train with us sometimes too. I was amazed at how much Japanese culture she knew. She said she had been studying different religions and languages ever since she discovered the library down the block. April had given her a long trench coat and fedora to disguise herself. I didn't see her wear it much, but when I did, wow. She looked absolutely gorgeous. The trench coat outlined her perfect form and draped over her wondrous body. She looked so classy. I wanted to surprise her and come to the library with her some day. So, I asked Casey to go get me a trench coat and fedora as well. "Dude, you look ridiculous!" He laughed as I tried it on. "Shut up Casey!" I said. "You're ridiculous too... but thanks for getting this for me..." I said under my breath.
         I headed out in my coat and hat. I felt so professional. It was the first time I was able to walk among the humans. I still had to keep a low profile by keeping my head down and not speaking a word. I put my hands in my pockets and walked very quickly towards the library. I walked up to the front desk and kept my head down as I asked the librarian, "excuse me, have you seen someone else walk in wearing a trench coat?" I said with raspiness in my voice, trying to sound tough. "Why yes, Mona is right over there in the historical section like always." Said the sweetest voice. I looked up and viewed the nicest old woman I had ever seen. She looked like the fun grandma that would let you have cookies before dinner. I smiled. "Thank you ma'am." I said, changing my tone from a cold brute to a big softie. I ran over to the history section like the lady said. I peaked my head around the corner and saw Mona sitting there, reading a book called, "Ancient Egypt", eyes wide, and a smile from ear to ear. She looked so interested and so carefree. Wow. I didn't realize that she enjoyed learning so much. I guess I really hadn't thought about that. I slowly crept around the book shelves and behind the chair she was sitting on. I snuck up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. She jumped. She pushed me off of her and got up into fighting position. Once she realized it was me, she smiled a guilty smile. "Aha... I'm sorry Raphael..." she said. I smiled. I walked towards her, my arms getting ready for a hug. I wrapped my arms around her body again, but this time, she hugged me back. "Why are you here?" She asked, still hugging me. "I wanna learn." I said. She pulled out of our hug. "You what?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. "Teach me." I said as I walked over to the book she was reading. She smiled. It was actually pretty interesting. I listened to her get excited over mummification and ancient kings and queens. We left the library, laughing and smiling. I enjoyed our time together, but it seemed too suspicious. Why would the universe be this good to me and send me an angel without any consequences? We walked down the docs, alongside the back of the buildings. We were getting close to a manhole cover, when all of a sudden, hundreds of foot ninjas, and Shredder's mutants appeared from the shadows. "Aw, sewer apples!" I said.

(Mona Lisa's p.o.v.)
      We dropped our coats and pulled out our weapons. "Alright!" Raphael said with a smile. "Rokka rokka!" I yelled as I ran towards a giant tiger mutant and swung my blade at him. He avoided and punched me in the stomach. It hurt as my heart sunk and my organs almost threw vomit up in my mouth. Raphael took on a dozen foot bots, a fish mutant, and a skeleton dog mutant. He was taking so much and I couldn't even handle a kitten. I weakly stood there and dodged most of his punches. He punched me again in the gut. I grunted and fell to my knees, holding my stomach. "You're weak and pathetic!" He says as he kicks me in the gut again. My head hit the ground and I blacked out within a second. I didn't remember anything after that.
     I woke up in Donatello's lab again, but this time I was on his examining table. The first thing I saw was Raphael. Then, Michaelangelo, Leonardo, and lastly, Donatello. They were all staring at me with worried faces. Especially Raphael. His eyes were red and his complexion was pale. I could tell something was terribly wrong. I tried to sit up, but a hand stopped me. "No! Don't sit up! You're not strong enough yet!" Donatello said. "What? Yes I am. I'm fine." I said assuring him as I sat up. "Y'gythba..." Raphael said, placing his hand on mine, not making eye contact with me. I could tell he was being serious. "Raphael? What's the matter? Did those Ninjas and mutants get away? Next time we'll get them! Next time-" I started to say as he interrupted me. "There isn't going to be a next time." He said looking at me. "What?" I asked. "You could've died! There's no way I'm letting you leave again!" He said. "You can't keep me down here forever Raphael." I said with a smile. "I know... but... maybe... you shouldn't stay here..." he said quietly. "We should leave now..." Leonardo whispered. Everyone nodded and left the lab. As soon as the door shut. I looked at Raphael. "Raphael... what's going on?" I asked worried. He looked down and sighed. "Mona... you can't stay here..." he said slowly. "It's killing you..." he said. I didn't understand. Did he want me to leave? What does he mean? "Are you saying I have to leave?" I asked. "You can't stay on Earth Mona." He said. I was shocked. "Well then you can come to my planet!" I offered. "Then I'll have the same problem..." he said as tears started forming in his eyes. "What are you saying?" I said as tears rolled down my cheeks. "We can't be together..." he said softly, wiping his eyes. "There has to be a way!" I said as I hugged him tightly. "It's like the whole universe is against us." He said as he cried on my shoulder. "I've never felt this way about anyone before!" I said as I held him as tight as I possibly could. He dug his fingers into my back and sobbed on my shoulder. My heart hurt from hearing him cry. It also hurt from the gravity but mostly from his tears. "I promise, I will never feel this way about anyone else." He said as he broke out of the hug and looked at me with sad eyes. "We'll meet again Raphael. We have to! I'll never stop loving you!" I said as we hugged again. I cherished the last moments of time I would ever spend with him. I couldn't control myself anymore. I cried like a little child as I squeezed his body tightly against mine. I could not believe I had to leave the love of my life. I kissed him and caressed his arm. I laid back down and pulled him back with me. He ran his hand down my thigh and I moaned. I cherished the feeling of his lips on mine and his hands touching me.
