Aang's Sister

Chapter 3

I had my sister go get some proper sleep in her room, I used my time alone to do something I've never tried before. I managed to get into a meditation position, then I let my spirit separate from my body. Then I set off to find the gang.
Katara was easy to find, so was Sokka and Suki, Zuko took a bit of work, but Toph, good lord it took me an hour to find her. Once I knew where everyone was, I reached out and pulled their spirits out of their bodies and into the spirit world with me. To those watching there bodies, it simply seems like they collapsed, to me and them, they went into the spirit world. I decided that we should talk at the Southern Air Temple, so we went there.
"What the hell!?!?"
"Where am I?"
"Why can't my feet see?!?!??"
"Is it just me or are we all following blue?" I watch them express their confusion and shock, it's quite hilarious, but then I remember I have little time, so I appear before them.
"I brought you all here to the spirit world, well, not like separate your spirit to talk to you." They all snap there heads in my direction.
"Aang?"
"Hey guys. I have something important to tell you all, I need your help." This shocks them all, I can't understand why though. I've always needed there help.
"Twinkle toes, why do you need our help? You left us a year ago!"
"Toph, I needed answers and I found them, Sokka and Suki know what I'm talking about, but none of you know the whole story behind my disappearance, well, maybe Zuko and Katara do, but not the point. Point is I need your help, and I don't have much time. I need you all to head to the Southern Air Temple, I'm sending one of my trusted monks to get you. But you have to hurry, you need to get there within two days, otherwise, the last Airbenders will truly die." Sokka and Suki hutch there breath.
"Wait, you said Airbenders, like as in plural?"
"Yes, I know. Now please hurry, I can't hold this much longer, and I have to prepare for an attack. Good luck, and I promise I'll explain everything once you get here." They nod then I let there spirits go back to there bodies and I do the same. When I open my eyes, my sister and monks are staring at me.
"Where the hallways glowing again?"
"Yes?!?!!" They all practically scream.
"Sorry, but this is important. Alaina, you must take Appa to the Southern Air Temple. You will be retrieving some people for me, there is a painting of them all in the drawer on my desk. " I point to the drawer, then she nods grabs the painting and makes to leave.
"You cannot tell them you are my sister, you cannot tell them how many Airbenders are living here, and blindfold all of them but the girl in green." She nods then heads out, I take a breath.
"Can you please prepare the guest house?" My monks nod then head out, I take a deep breath then change into my High Monk clothes. The gang will most likely get here one ore two days before I die, I might as well enjoy my time that I have. So I head off to the area where the children play, Everyone knows of me being poisoned, so that's a relief. I get to the children and they have always liked playing with me, but today we played less taxing games. The monks all where informed of my actions and are prepared to do what I told them.

It's been three days since I sent Alaina to the Southern Airtemple, but today, I can hear something. Toph, she is complaining about flying, I guess everyone got there fast. I blow the horn, the one that tells people to head to the main area where I announce things. I meet my sister in the stables, once she sees me, she hops off Appa and gives me a bear hug.
"Can't breath, stop." She dose instantly, but I can tell she's been worried sick.
"Alaina I'm fine, I still have two days. You actually got them here faster than I expected." She sighs.
"Yeah, they all got there pretty fast. But the way how do you know them?"
"I'll tell you later, you need to go get into your Monk clothes." She groans then obeys, ever since my almost death, she listens to me more. Appa lands just after my sister left, the gang is curious as to why I hugged her.
"Hey guys." I sheepishly wave at them, they are all shocked.
"Come on, time is precious. We only have two days till time runs out." I mentally add for me anyway. They nod then hop off Appa, but once Toph lands, her feet see where I'm leading them.
"Twinkle toes, how are there so many?" She confuses everyone, but I just laugh.
"I told you, I'll explain everything, just please follow me." Then nod and follow me, I notice Katara and Zuko towards the back of the group, I sigh.
"On moment please, Katara Zuko, I need to talk with you both." Everyone stops and the said two get nervous. I motion for them to follow me down an abandoned corridor.
"What is it you both need to tell me?" They sigh and I think I know what this is about.
"Aang, that night in Ba Sung Se, we where being bloodbended. We didn't want to do that, someone forced us to." At these words my heart stops, blood bending? It had to be the Red Lotus, they wanted me to go on my own. They have manipulated me since the beginning, how could I have been so blind?!? I take a deep calming breath and allow my heart to go back to normal.
"I forgive you both." They both freeze, shocked by my four words.
"Really?"
"Yes, I forgave you long ago, but was too blind from the hurt. I'm sorry, if only we had more time. Things could have been better." They are confused by my words,  but nod. I lead them back to the group and then I lead them all the the chamber. My sister meets me outside of it, in her dress robes thing, and she has my glider. I send her a very great full glance and accept it. I use my glider now as a cane, it's less obvious to show my poison. She gives me a hug, then enters the chamber to announce me.
"Aang, Who was that?" It was Katara speaking.
"Family." All I say, I think Katara thinks wife, how wrong she is. I sense my sister stomping her foot, my que to enter, I motion for my friends to wait a moment, then I enter the room. Applause is heard, and I can see every airbender is here. I sigh, this will go either two ways, good or bad. I'm praying for the good. Once I reach the speaking area, I start to talk.
"Hello, I come to you today as a comrade, not as your avatar or your High Monk. As you all know a few days ago I was attacked and poisoned, what you all don't know is that not all the poison was removed. And unless we can figure out a way to remove it, I only have two days left to live." A collective gasp is heard. I sigh.
"So, Because my time is most likely at an end, I have asked the people who helped me once I came out of the iceberg, to come here. Because we are all that remains of the Air nation, you need protection, I will not be able to do that for much longer, so I wanted people I trust to be there for you. These people i trust with my life, they will protect you. They understand our way of life for I lived with them for a year, they will fight for you because we do not believe violence is the answer. Please don't mention my condition to them, or why I seem different to them. This is for both your sake and there's. I only wish, that I had more time to help our way of life grow." I stop there, and my sister puts a hand on my shoulder, I take a deep breath.
"Alaina, please let them in." She nods then heads to the doors, I can sense them walking forward.
"Katara, Sokka, Suki, Toph, and Zuko, I want to be the first to welcome you to the Eastern Air Temple. Home to the last Airbenders." They stop dead in there tracks when they see the thousands of Airbenders in the room, the said benders are giving them big warm welcome.
"I have let our existence be known to you for we are in danger, a group has targeted us and I cannot protect everyone on my own. We are few in existence and this is all that remains, I hope that you will feel welcome here. I was lucky to be accepting the back by my people, and I'm especially lucky that my little sister accepted me and has been there since I found them." The gang is shocked when I say I have a sister.
"I want to ask Germno to come up here." I call my sisters betrothed, then motion for my sister. They both step forward with confused faces.
"I believe today is the day when I let your love for each other be solidified. I, High Monk Aang, Avatar, and older twin brother of Alaina, herby announce that Alaina and Germno are now husband and wife. Let your love for one another flow like air in the sky." They both then kiss each other. There is applause and then I announce the celebration, the Airbenders head out to the courtyard to celebrate but I stay behind and lead the gang to the temple.
"Aang, what did you mean you wish you had more time?"
"Zuko, like I said. I'm going to explain everything, but first I need to ask you all some questions." They look apprehensive about this but agree. I lead them to my room, the one place where we definitely won't be snooped at. When we get there I sigh, I need to do this carefully otherwise they will learn I'm dying.
"Ok, I want to know what you all know of Metallic poisons?" They are shocked but surprisingly Toph answers.
"They are lethal, I found I can bend it due to my metal bending. If you are poisoned with it, it shuts down your body systems before it kills you. If you have a small amount, then you first face fatigue, then you find it hard to get around, then eventually you are paralyzed and won't be able to move or stop the poison from killing you." Everyone is silent, I think I'm pale, and I'm trembling. I am running possible outcomes through my mind, when I'm hit by an attack from the poison. I can't have them here while I'm in this state, I'm panicking.
"Everyone go to the party, go now!" I never really command them to do anything so I shocked them, but they all do it. I make sure they are gone before I send all my energy to making sure I don't go into Avatar state. I collapsed on the ground in my room, and I realized that I can't move, shit, I have less time then I thought. My concentration slips and I go into the Avatar state, I can see the walls and floors start to glow blue, I'm using all my effort to get out of the Avatar state, and I win, but I drift off into unconsciousness because I'm so tired.
