Nico's p.o.v
"Nico. Nico, you gotta go to school." My sister says above me. I groan and roll over. I pull my blankets tighter around my small body.
"Bianca. Go. I don't want to go to school." I mutter. She rolls her eyes and yanks me up. I fall to the floor, in a giant, blanket and sheets wrapped cocoon. She laughs. I stand in my sweatpants and T-shirt. I take off my blankets, then I move to get back into bed, but she grabs my shoulders and shakes them. I feel like !my brain just got a rude prod with a stick.
"Hey! Okay I'm up!" I shout and roll my eyes as she runs out of the room. After a few seconds later, I recover from my dizziness. Time to prepare for school.
Who knows. Maybe you'll make friends.
"As if." I mutter to myself, pulling on a black skull and crossbones shirt that is so loose around me, i feel like there is nothing there, along with my black jeans that have a small rip on the knee and my aviators jacket. I pull a chain belt around my small waist. Not that I need it, it just sort of goes with the outfit. The life of the shadow in the back of the room. At least I Like my clothes.
Maybe senpai will notice you.
Not in those clothes he won't.
"I need to stop reading Manga."
"Hurry up Nico!" My mom yells. I grab my binder and backpack from my floor and run. I yank on my black shoes, running into the kitchen. I snatch the toast from Bianca's hands, yell a goodbye and run outside. No friends to walk with me. Ah, the life of the lonely high schooler. I scarf down the dry toast as I run. And yes, there is a choking hazard, but i am used to eating on the run. I feel my backpack slipping, so I stop to adjust it. I watch my binder fall and my geography homework floats out. I really hate math sometimes. Its too hard to concentrate when you have dyslexia and ADHD.
"F! Nico, see me after class." I t reads. I scowl. Second week of high school and I'm already failing my geography class. I haven't been sleeping very well. I hardly ever do. I rub my eyes, pick up my books, and take off again.
"HEY NICO!" I hear someone yelling, but I don't stop. Lots of people know my name. Only because at our highschool, you are forced to learn everyone in your homerooms name. I have a list. I grimace and see the highschool doors. The shouts follow me until I run inside, my forehead beaded with sweat. I live so close to school. I hate knowing people know me. I just want to be left alone. And usually I am. My pale skin and dark clothes contrast, and tend to make people stay away from me. I'm fine with that. Once the class completely forgot I was there and I skipped. I mostly wandered around, looking at the posters. I shake off the thought. The hall overcomes mE with people and sounds, and I walk to my locker. It opens with a light whooshing sound. A piece of paper sits on the bottom, as if it fell from the locker above. Except I have a top locker. My otherwise empty locker soon occupies my backpack. I pull out my homeroom notebook, grabbing the note. I'm a bit intrigued by who would want to talk to me. I close my locker and walk off to class. I try to figure out the handwriting. Not Biancas, definitely. I slide into my seat as The teacher does roll call. I didn't concentrate on what was written until now.
