Age 14

The Winchesters and their angel friend, Castiel, had seen many odd things due to their 'profession'. However, coming into a warehouse, seeing a young teen easily fighting three Shapeshifters with their own blade was not on that list, until recent events. It was supposed to be easy, a group of shifters changing forms while robbing a bank and running off. It seemed they weren't the only ones who'd thought of taking on this case.

"Kid, run!" Dean yells at you, letting his angel blade slip from his sleeve, into the palm of his hand as one of the shifters came after him. His demand was met with silence on your part as if he were invisible as if they all were and the only ones in the room were you and the remaining shifter. The former was down soon enough, Sam yanking Ruby's blade from its chest with a sickening noise. While you stood there, covered in the blood of the supernatural, with a few bruises forming and minor cuts, three pairs of eyes fell upon you.

"Thank you for the help," You finally speak up, walking towards the door of the warehouse where your old book bag sat in the dirt just outside. In the world of hunters, not much mattered, but you liked to think that wasn't an excuse to be rude.

"What the hell are you doing, kid?" Dean speaks up, following the child, "Where is your family?"

"Gone, just like everyone else," You reply, voice monotone as you sling your aforementioned bag onto your shoulder. Turning to face them, you get a good look at each, your dull eyes burning into them like lasers.

"It's dangerous out here, clearly you know that," Sam speaks up, stepping beside his older brother with those famous puppy eyes that seemed to melt every girl and some guys too.

"I'm doing what I can to fix that, what more do you want from me?" Your defensive nature got the best of you, not to mention you hadn't eaten in two days, barely slept either, and you were sore from the constant hunting, researching, and travelling by foot. To say you weren't in a good mood was an understatement.

"My name is Castiel," The former angel, who'd remained silent up until this point, walks until he stands directly in front of you, kneeling down so he could be your height. He knew what it was like to be alone, hungry, and exhausted, the fall hadn't been kind to most angels but he, at least, had the Winchesters. You had no one. "Would you like to come with us? No harm will come to you," Castiel didn't need to ask the men behind him for permission, as he knew they were thinking the same as him. They'd all gone through their share of trouble.

"Test," The word slipped from your lips absentmindedly and within moments, the four of you each had a fresh cut on the palm of your hands and drops of holy water dripping from your forearms. Then, you were settled in the Impala.

The ride back to the bunker was nothing special, mostly silent with the exception of a request from you to Dean, asking him to turn the music up when a song you knew came on. Once the car is parked and everyone has filled out, you're led into the common room where the warm air, compared to the chilly night time outside, hits you like a comforting blanket. A small smile pulls at your lips as you take everything in.

"I'll show you to one of the spare rooms," Sam says, setting his duffel on a table in the library, "There's a shower down the hall, I'll show you where,"

You nod, following him silently with your bag to where you will be staying. Once you've gotten your room and shown the bathroom, Sam leaves, letting you cleanse in peace. It was weird, at first, taking a shower after so long of taking quick rinses in lakes or ponds, even 'bird baths' with a bottle of water and old rag. It was a nice change, though, and the shampoo and conditioner that was there reminded you faintly of your brother's boyfriend, who had always done his best to make you happy, especially when your brother was in the hospital.

Thirty minutes later and you are out, dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt, the only two decent pieces of clothing you owned. After dropping your things off in your room, you wander out into the common room only to find it empty. Walking around more, you stumble upon the kitchen where Dean stands with Sam, taking a sip of his beer as the younger Winchester proceeds to make sandwiches. The sounds of footsteps make the brothers look up, however, your eyes only stay trained on Dean's bottle, the dark glass glinting in the fluorescent lighting.

"Hey!" Dean says when you walk over, snatching his bottle out of his hand and begin pouring it into the sink, whilst Sam chuckles beside him.

"Don't end up like mom," It's a few simple words muttered under your breath, but it was loud enough for the pair to hear, and it hits them. Dean more so, as he is reminded of all the days he spent with his drunken father, taking beatings and yelling, doing whatever he could to protect Sam.

"Here, let's eat," Sam breaks the tense silence that had followed, handing a plate to the teen and his brother while taking his and Castiel's to a table in the library. Said angel was already seated, staring quizzically at the screen of Sam's laptop in front of him.

"People enjoy feet so much they try to consume them?" He questions, referring to the foot fetish porn that he'd accidentally managed to pull up. The three who entered were shocked for a moment until you burst into laughter. Soon, everyone was eating, talking, and laughing. It was the closest thing you'd had to a family in so long, but it was amazing.
