Chapter 4

3rd person pov

Leah Clearwater continued to run around the forest searching for Destin Cullen. She called out for her so many times and searched the forest more the once. Leah sighed and headed back to her house when familiar red hair caught her eye. Destin was walking down La Push beach kicking water and watching the sunset. Leah sighed before running toward her.

"Destin! Hey!" Leah yelled at her, "I've been looking for you"

"I know. Just didn't want to have to hear more about how horrible of a person I am, because of what I am." Destin looked down.

"I wasn't going too say that you where a horrible person. I came here wanting to check on you. I know that you are hurting" Leah spoke softly. Destin looked up into her eyes. Leah's heart sped up.

"Oh. I'm sorry Leah" Destin looked out toward the waves.

"I know we didn't get off on the best start. But i've realized I want and need you in my life. I've treated you badly, I know. But I want us to start over if that's okay with you" Leah stared at her as they walked. Destin grinned then turned her head to look at Leah again. She nodded

"Yeah, that's perfectly fine with me" Destin smiled and rubbed her arms a bit.

"Cold?" Leah asking with a laugh. Destin laughed too. The dark skinned girl removed the dark blue and green flannel from her waist before stopping. Destin stopped once she didn't feel Leah's presents beside her. She turned and saw the dark haired girl standing a few inches behind her hold open the flannel for herself. Destin quickly put her arms in feeling the warmth.

"Thank you" They both smiled.

"You seemed upset back there at Billy's. Is everything okay?" Destin asked her. Leah walked closer toward her.

"Just Sam and Emily. It bothers me at times, see them so happy together. I know he imprinted on her but I loved him. And he loved me" Leah told Destin as she watched her.

"I know what you mean. And if it makes you feel any better, Sam lost one of the best girls in the world" Destin linked there arms together. Leah's heart warmed.

"Thanks Dest" Leah leaned into her, "You're not so bad. I'm sorry for the way I treated you for a while. Really. It's just... I know how your real mom is the cause of my Father's death and it just felt like when I saw you, I saw her. And it hurt for a while. But now.. When I see you I feel more at ease, like i'm safe with you. I've come to except that I don't think i'm supposed to hate you, I think my dad sent you mine and Seth's way."

"I know my real Mother; she's such a nightmare. She wanted me back but just a few days ago she tried to kill me. She's the one that turned me too, when I was 16 she turned, and she just couldn't help it. I think I would have been fine with the becoming immortal part with her. But then she left me. I think you're right about me being here because of your dad, he was a amazing man really. He talked about you and Seth all the time. He tell me all the time that I needed to meet the both of you soon. And I really know where your coming from Leah, I do. But i'm nothing like my mother. I don't hurt humans, I can't bring myself to it. I'm glad you realized you need me. Because I need you, and I need Seth too. Embry and I... were really glad we're all together now. Like a family you know?" Destin told Leah while leaning onto her as they walked. Leah smiled.

"I heard you've got some cool vampire powers" Leah smirked at her. Destin laughed causing Leah to smile.

"Wanna see?" Destin looked at her. Leah grinned and nodded. Destin looked around to make sure no one was at the beach. She then held out her hand and twirled it a bit. Then snow came pouring down on the two. Leah watched a awh. She laughed out of shock has snow hit her nose. It snipped once Destin closed her hand. She then held out a finger showing a flame.
