A/N I just wanted to thank all u awesome people who commented :D this one is dedicated to @Maypl_Bougher for commenting the most :D go ahead and check out her profile :D

I sat in a chair, staring blankly out the window.  I absent-mindedly tracing my finger along the design of a planter  of flowers.  i sighed.  when i was a child, i would dream of what it would be like to be a queen.  No chores, pretty clothes.  Servants waiting on you, and the food, oh how i would dream about being full, and not going to bed with my stomach still rumbling.  But now that I was actually Queen, i realized that without chores, or duties, there was nothing to do.

I sighed again, completely bored out of my mind. I wanted to go the library, there were walls filled with books, i could get lost, and never find my way out again, if I knew how to read.  I could also go to the square and look at pretty fabrics.  The shopkeepers wouldn't chase me out with brooms, saying to come back when i didn't smell and look like i had been sleeping with the pigs.  But now that I was queen, guards would have to escort me whenever I went outside the castle.  Also, i would be swarmed by men. I was Queen now, I was beautiful (as everyone says)  and I was rich.  The perfect combination for men to drool over.  And it doesn't matter if guards went with me, the shops that i wanted to go into, well lets just say it would hurt me to see them in such an uncomfortable state.

I nearly jumped right out of the fancy slippers i was in when the door suddenly burst open.

"Your majesty," a guard huffed, he paused to bow (and to catch his breath i guessed) and then handed me a letter as he continued. " There is a man by the name of Mordecai, who wishes this be brought to you immediately, would you like to see it?"

I was confused,   why would Mordecai be sending me a letter at haste if it wasn't important.  Was there another assassination plan? Or was it something worse?  I gulped down my fear and held out my hand for the letter.  He placed it in my hand, bowed once more and left the room.

I almost ripped open the letter while opening it with shaky hands.  I brought out  the  note, and read

Your Majesty,

I am sorry to put this upon you, but a royal decree has been made, for all the Jews to be executed in  five days time.

A man by the name of Haman has set a pole for me to be impaled upon.  I ask that you would pray

and fast with your brothers and sisters,

                          All good wishes,

                                            Mordecai

I sat back in the chair i was in, and my heart nearly stopped.  All executed why would the king issue that? And why Mordecai? Why is he being impaled on a pole?   Suddenly i gasped in realization, as the pieces all came together.  Mordacai... impaled on a pole, why do I recognize that?  The most common way to execute a people, was to hang them.  I was a Jew, the Jews were being executed... I remembered a invisible force, one that I couldn't resist, pulling and pushing me toward the hanging stand.  I remembered how the snake had turned to a pole with Mordacai on it.  And the snakes eyes... its eyes were the same as Haman's...

The final piece clicked as i stood up, snatched a piece of paper, and wrote back to Mordecai.

     Mordacai,

Yes, have all the Jews, pray and fast, i will join you in this activity.  I have had dreams sent from the

heavens, of the future, I know what to do, If it does not work, I will die.  But I will take that risk for my

people.

                  Her Majesty,

                                 Queen Esther
