"Don't be so nervous with me." Her father started out of the blue when both of us were on our way back to home.

"A-ah?" I was surprised but I brush it off with a laugh. An awkward one. "I'm not. Well, maybe a bit. I'm sorry, I can't help it." I added while rubbing my nape shyly.

"Don't be sorry, kid. Even though I know you and my own daughter lie to me." He said and for few seconds I froze on where I stood, eyes widened, jaw dropped and heart beating fast.

Did he knew that we've been lying about the engagements and all??

"H-huh? W-what do you mean by lying?" I almost slap my self for stuttering that much.

"I'm not good in words but I'm good at observing. I even knew our Haeun had feelings for that bstrd Younghyun back then even though she never tell me. I also know that you and Haeun were lying about the relationship. I overheard the conversation you two had that night." He explained and I stopped walking.

He turn to me and let out an unexplainable gaze.

"I was disappointed for awhile but I know my daughter won't do something without any reason. So I decide to trust her and wait. Also." He left his sentence hanging, which makes me getting more curious.

"Also?"

"Accidentally, I walked passed your bedroom again in the morning and you didn't notice it but I was about to wake you two up when I saw you lean in to kiss my daughter's forehead."

"Mr. Song, I'm-" I was so panic so I cut him off only to have him cut me back.

"It's okay, Taehyung. I can see that you really have feelings for my daughter. I was confused for awhile, so I need to confirm it. Last night, you make a promise that you'll never hurt her, is that part of your act too?"

"No! It's not an act!! It's real." I was so panic that I blabbering fast and he chuckles at me.

"Alright. I actually trust you when you promised me last night, I just need to confirm it by my self." He smile at me and I feel relief for awhile. "So, do you like my daughter?"

Unconsciously, I smiled and feel my cheeks grew warm. At least, I hope I didn't blush in front of my father in law, uh I mean, Mr. Song.

"I- uh... actually.." I keep biting my lips to prevent me from smiling wider but seems like it won't help. I throw my gaze everywhere but him, hoping he would say something but no, when I look back at him he's still waiting for my answer. "I like your daughter so so so much." I finally managed to confess it like a gentleman and I'm so glad that I managed to do that.

Mr. Song smile widely revealing a fatherly smile while patting my shoulder.

"I'm glad to know it, Taehyung and do you want to know a big secret?" He asked suddenly while took a step closer to me.

"What is it Mr. Song?" I didn't expect it but I'm curious as well.

"Haeun. She like you too."

Am I dreaming?

Haeun, like me too ? But she-

"You might not believe this now but sooner you will realize it, Taehyung." He added and leaving me dumbfounded while he walk ahead of me, probably laughing at my silly face.
