Your POV

   A lot of people have pet cat or dog or snake. Not you. You had a pet dinosaur. Not just any dinosaur but a wild spino. His name was (spino name). He loved you to bits. He brought you fish, took you on rides and also listened to your troubles. Today, however, you couldn't find him. You called and called but he never came. The same for the next day and the next. Your father decided to bring you to his work. You just sat in the back of the car, hoping he was alright.
"You alright? "Your dad asked.
You didn't answer. When you guys pulled up, you heard roaring. Not listening to your father, you ran towards it. You froze when you saw what was happening. (Spino name) was being poked, prodded and tazed so he would go into a small cage. You started forward, pushing past officers and your parents. You stopped when you saw all the rods embedded into his skin.
"(Spino name). "You whispered.
Even though it was whispered, he heard you. He turned and tried to go to you, causing the rods to tear his flesh. He didn't care. He just wanted to comfort you. You got up and walked towards him.
"Miss! That's a wild and dangerous animal! "
You held out a hand and he pressed his muzzle to it.
"Hold still, (spino name). Let me get these out. "
He laid down as you began to pull the rods out each one caused blood to drip down his body. You collapsed beside him, tears in your eyes. He gently curled his tail around you and nuzzles you. You laughed.
"Always did put me before yourself, huh boy. "
He rumbled and laid his head down. That day, you got a new nickname. Dinosaur Tamer.
