She was like a human barbie
Her blonde hair (almost white) was curled and it sprang up to her shoulders. She had the shortest skirt I have ever seen, it was so short it looked like she wasn't wearing it at all. Her white blouse hung to her body like a second skin. The top three buttons were undone, exposing her boobs for the world to see. She topped off her outfit with red really high heels that matched her bag and too much eye linear, mascara and foundation on. She looked like an hooker.
"Are you deaf? I said that I wanted to see Kevin" she said rudely while snapping her fingers at me.
"No I'm not deaf and no you can't see my boss" I replied just as rudely. I really didn't like her attitude or dressing or her overall. And I've only known her for like five minutes.
"How dare you?" she screamed like a spoilt little brat. "Do you know who I am?"
No I really don't want to know, I thought. "And why can't I see him?" she continued.
"Because he is not home" I haven't seen or heard from him since the ugly episode this morning.
"But I called by his office and they told me he didn't go to work" she looked confuse, then she looked up to me with an evil glint in her eyes. "If I fin-"
"He really isn't home" I interrupted.
"You are so rude" says you. "Interrupting me and speaking back at me, wow. Now look her you little tramp" she snarled at me. "I would ruin you if you dare cross my path" she spat out, trying to threaten me; but of course it only made me want to laugh at her face. She gave me one last long look, then she said "Tell him that Amanda stop by"
7 pm came and I was getting worried. I couldn't find Kevin or Steve. It was just me at the house and I couldn't just get up and go- even though my shift ended two hours ago. I went into the kitchen and started making caramel shortbreads to kill away the time. After I was done making it, as I was about to taste my handiwork; I heard the front door banged open and in walked in my very drunk boss. He staggered his way to me and when he got to my front, he almost fell. I held on to him, so that he wouldn't fall down and as I lift him up to sit down, I was hit strongly by his alcohol breath. - it made me want to be sick.
"Issa, you really have " hiccup "the most beautiful" hiccup "eyes I have ever seen" he managed to get out.
"Thank you, now let's get you upstairs" I grabbed onto his arms took him upstairs. Even though it was a struggle and it took a long time, I finally got him to his room. I removed his trainers and tucked him in. As I left the room, I could have swore I heard him say "you are beautiful"
I was so exhausted, that when I got home, I went straight to bed. I woke up the next morning to find the house empty, I went to the kitchen and saw a note on the counter. It was from Sash.
"I had to go to the office this morning, for a very important meeting. Something about a new owner of the company" it read. I looked at the time and gasped. I had only half an hour to get to work. Damn it! I wanted to make pancake, but now I didn't have the time.
Getting to the house, I smelt a really amazing, mouthwatering smell- so I followed my nose. I saw Tina flipping a pancake.
"OMG! You are a lifesaver! I didn't have breakfast this morning" I exclaimed, walking closer to her.
"Good morning to you too" she said, with an amused tone. "Why didn't you have breakfast this morning?"
"I woke up late and my roommate wasn't around and she normally makes breakfast" I began "Oh! Did you know that he got home really late last night really drunk" I looked at her expecting to get a shocked reaction but I didn't. She had a look of understanding. "Hey do y-"
"Morning ladies" a deep voice said and Kevin came into view. He looked better than he did last night. He was now dressed in a black armani suit and his hair has been styled back with jel. However is eyes looked a little swollen like he had been crying a lot. Why would he have been crying? I shook my head, clearing my thoughts. "And I'm off now, take care of the house" he looked at me, while taking a pancake from the plate; he then turned and left through the front door. Thank you for yesterday Isabel, well no problem sir. I hissed. What was wrong with him? He couldn't even thank me for helping him get to bed last night or maybe he didn't remember. Yeah, that must be it.
"What's wrong with you" Tina asked, sensing my sour mood.
"It's just... I expected him to be at least grateful for helping him get to bed last night. I mean, he came in really drunk last night. How irresponsible of him"
"Wellll, it's now exactly his fault.." she had a confused look on her face, as if contemplating on what she should tell me.
"You know you can tell me anything right?" I told her.
"OK, I will. But finish your breakfast first" she layed a plate with five large pancakes on it. I grabbed the syrup and sprayed it over the pancake and began eating.
"Yesterday was an anniversary" Tina began, once we finished our food and sat down on the sofa in the ground floor lounge. "The anniversary if his fiancée's death, y-" she stopped as she heard me gasp loudly. He had a fiancée? And she died? No wonder he felt the need to get away yesterday. I was such a bitch sometimes. I motioned for her to continue with the story, I made a mental note not to interrupt her and just let her go on with the story. "On the 23rd of July 2011, Jessica- Kevin's fiancée died. You see it is really a sorrowful time for him because he blames himself for her death.
They had been childhood friends, went to the same school and this almost everything together. Their parents were also friends and that helped their relationship blossom to what it was. They got together towards the end of high school after a constant struggle. I saw it happen because my mum was the previous cook and I used to come after school to help her. The future was looking bright for them . He was going to take over his father's multi billion dollar company- Jones oil group(the best oil company in America and one of the best in the world. No wonder he's loaded!) and she was going to be the CEO of her father's company, Noble oil company (another top oil company. It was thought that they were rivals but there wasn't any fighting going on between them. Maybe it's due to the fact that I now know that the owners are friends. Wow! With both their moneys, their kids and grandkids would never lack). He proposed once they finished college and it seemed that their love was perfect. But it wasn't.
Three years ago, she changed. I noticed it. The staffs noticed it and Kevin certainly noticed it. She started coming home last and she looked to be really distance and when he confronted her about it, she would say it was nothing. Then one faithful afternoon, I was told that he got sent a picture of Jessica and his be at friend kissing while she was met to be at Spain for a 'business meeting'. Kevin was livid, as he should be and when he went to pick her from the airport; they got into to a heated argument that caused then to have a car accident. He that was driving got a wound on his back, but she unfortunately, died.
