I wanted to give Hidan's wife a really cute and innocent personality to counter his vulgar and crude character, and I thought Madara's wife should be someone who can match up to him, so I portrayed her as an elegant, sophisticated woman with that air of importance around her. As for Itachi, I just wanted to give him the best he deserved.

I wanted Sasori's wife to be prim, proper and perfect like a doll, while I imagined Deidara's sweetheart to be just cute and sweet all round.

I really didn't know what to do with Kakuzu's wife but I hope her hair reminds you of his erm.. what do we call that?..er..threads? Like you know, those in his arms...? And I wanted to give Pein's wife the God-like feel. On second thoughts, I think she calls for some modifications. Now I think an angel may serve him better.
