A child sings, her sweet voice filling the air and echoing down the empty hallway. Yet the sweetness and lull of it is sharply contrasted by the heavy breathings and fearful cries of an adult as she claws desperately at the locked door.
'Mummy....'
She looks back, her eyes searching rhe darkness for her child.
'Mummy don't leave me...'
She bangs at the door furiously, trying to force the knob open. 'Open open open open goddammit!'
'Mummy.' That sweet voice sounds directly behind her.
She wheels around to see her dead child, with her arms tight around her favourite teddy bear.
Her knuckles go white as tears slide down her cheeks to her quivering lips.
'Oh. My. God.'
'Why are you running away, mummy? You promised to love me forever. Even in death, right? I' m here to bring you over. Come. Daddy and Sissy is waiting for us. It would be the happy family you promised'
