"Kim Jongin." It would be stupid if on his long commitment with Chanyeol, he wouldn't recognized whether it was Chanyeol's deep voice or not.

"The one and only, Kim Jongin." Jongin exclaimed with his arms spread open as a gesture that he is proud of his uncalled presence, which made Baekhyun scoff.

Baekhyun eyed him from his head to toe. The university requires them to wear a uniform for certain reasons. First, it's one of their ways of practicing the students to be professional and presentable, but Baekhyun thinks that what you wear shouldn't entirely be a basis to determine someone's identity though he clearly understand the fact that when you are a student or even an employee, there are rules and regulations you need to follow. Another is for marketing purposes, so their university would be known in the public more. Lastly, of course, to make them uniform.

However, Kim Jongin seems like he was born to be a fashion king, if Baekhyun would be asked. They are both wearing a uniform with minimal differences- Jongin wears it cooler, while Baekhyun looks like... a student. Baekhyun can't point it out, but Jongin certainly made something on his uniform that made him stand out among others or maybe unlike him, Jongin's body is leaner and fitter.

"A mushroom," Baekhyun said, trying to oppose Jongin's conceited attitude. He's second appearance supported Baekhyun's statement, so where is the lie?

"A superhero," Jongin casually retorted back, unimpressed of Baekhyun's lack of creativity in giving names.

"A what? Hero? A superhero?"

"Yep. The one that comes whenever someone needs help."

Baekhyun waited for Jongin to take back his words, but Jongin, who's already giving that uninterested but still interested look on him, lean on the wall with his arms crossed.

"I don't need your help. Get lost." Baekhyun is not directly annoyed to Jongin, but he's desperation to find Chanyeol pulled down all his positive energy that he can't even take Jongin's humor.

"I told you to get lost, didn't I?", he added while glaring at Jongin.

"Why don't YOU get lost? If you don't want to see me, then walk away. Stop telling me what to do, I don't really like it", Jongin replied sounding annoyed which somewhat alarmed Baekhyun. Jongin have been acting unpredictable since they met, so Baekhyun can't really determine if he's just purposely annoying him or not. Baekhyun suddenly became clueless of his next move.

Jongin sighed.

"What's with the mood, midget? I've been treating you nice since we first met." Baekhyun thought that he saw a glimpse of worry on Jongin's eyes, but maybe he is wrong.

"That was yesterday, Jongin", Baekhyun said because Jongin acted like they've been acquainted for a long time.

"Yep. Yesterday you were miserable and now, you're short-tempered. Is that how brokenhearted people usually act?" Unlike his former tone, Jongin seems to be back on his usual mocking tone, but the concern never went unnoticed to Baekhyun.

"Look. I'm sorry for the way I acted, but I need to see Chanyeol." Aiming to end their conversation, Baekhyun's hand reached Jongin's shoulder and patted it.

"Ouch. I am the one who's here." Jongin put his hand on his chest and acted like he was hurt.

"You're useless if you're not the one that I need, you know that." Baekhyun doesn't even care anymore. If he made it appear like Jongin is currently not welcomed, let him be. It's the truth anyway. He's tired and he needs to talk to Chanyeol.

"Correction, I'm not the one you need at the moment", Jongin exclaimed, implying that he has no plans of losing their nonsense argument.

Baekhyun loses it.

"I wouldn't ask why, so stop being so full of yourself." Baekhyun closed his eyes, took a deep breathe, and started massaging his temples.

"And stop being a damn mushroom", Baekhyun added.

"Hey, I didn't intentionally follow you. I have some errands to do too, but I was interrupted because I saw you looking like a defeated puppy." Jongin actually looked cute while he was trying to defend his self. His brows are furrowed and his eyes get larger as he speak, not to mention his hand gestures to prove his point.

"Stop calling me names." It reminds me how Chanyeol used to tease me like that.

"Stop calling me a mushroom, can't you think better than that?" Jongin wouldn't just say 'fine' and let it pass.

"Go away, Jongin."

"Tell that to yourself", Jongin retorted back with his hands shoving Baekhyun away. He is still leaning his side on the wall while he waits for Baekhyun to turned around and continue what he was doing.

But Jongin isn't finished yet. He grins and mentally count Baekhyun's steps. Just as when Baekhyun take his fifth step, he opened his mouth and ask the question he planned to ask when he called Baekhyun's attention earlier.

"By the way, does it ever cross in your mind that maybe your ex isn't in the university yet?"

When Baekhyun's fast paced turned slow, that's when Jongin felt his victory. He can literally imagine Baekhyun's defeated puppy look again, this time, a severely defeated puppy.

"I know right", he said and left.

"Damn you, Kim Jongin."

Baekhyun's currently in his class room, ignoring all the noise in his surroundings. He felt stupid for not speculating what Jongin said before, nevertheless, he is somewhat thankful to Jongin. If they didn't have that encounter a while ago, he would still hopelessly look for Chanyeol.

Though he's not completely confident that Chanyeol isn't in the campus, Jongin indirectly made him realized that he has all day to find Chanyeol. Baekhyun wouldn't lie and deny the fact that he finds Jongin weird. Even though Jongin assured him that they never met before, but again, he's acting way too comfortable around Baekhyun. What's weirder is that Jongin seems to understand his situation without him saying anything. Nonetheless, deep inside, Baekhyun appreciates it. It feels good to talk to others even if it's pure nonsense.

Baekhyun mentally remind himself to make Jongin as his first friend in the university after he dealt with Chanyeol.

"I guess it's only normal to be curious of someone's identity if they appeared like a mushroom and act like they're entitled." Shaking his head, Baekhyun unawarely smiled.
