"Easier said than done, Kim Jongin."

Baekhyun nervously opened their main door, expecting his mother in the living room. After Baekhyun's two hours vacant, he calmly woke up Jongin to inform him that he's going. Jongin doesn't seem to care at all, but Baekhyun clearly heard the "do well" from the guy.

Classes ended. Waiting in the hallways was a stupid move for Baekhyun. He shouldn't expect Jongin to always show himself, but Baekhyun still waited. After time had passed, seems like thirty minutes, Baekhyun finally decided to go home.

Taking Jongin's advice is a must, or at least that's what he thinks, but Baekhyun haven't really figured out how he'll say it to his parents.

To Baekhyun's surprise, his mother was not on her usual seat and the television wasn't turned on. He straightly went to the kitchen as his mother might be preparing food for them, but there was no sign of her.

"Mom?"

"I'm already here." Baekhyun called out again.

"What's with the tone? Were you worried?" His mother showed up from his parents' room and went down stairs. Baekhyun doesn't understand his worry either.

"I was just used to seeing you here." Baekhyun's voice sounded like a puppy, a five year old children who was disappointed to not see his mother.

"You haven't really grown. You're still our baby boy." His mother quickly went to him to give him a warm hug, something that Baekhyun's thirsty for.

Mrs. Byun didn't say anything, she just keep on patting his son's back as if she knows that something isn't right with him. Baekhyun rested his head on his mother's neck and tightly returned the hug. He didn't plan to cry, but there he was- fighting his tears.

"It's okay, it's okay." A mother's instinct it is. It seems like his mother felt the heavy feeling as they hug. Even though she doesn't understand the situation, she knows that she needs to be there for Baekhyun.

"We're always here for you, don't you ever forget that. If you don't want to open up, we'll understand."

Baekhyun was hesitating. He will never be completely ready to face this situation, but it needs to be done.

"W-we broke up." Suddenly, Baekhyun began to cry again. It has always been difficult for him to utter those words- words he can't accept.

When Baekhyun and Chanyeol started dating, they assured that the relationship will be a long term, never-ending in fact. Yet here he is, crying and defeated.

"Oh, dear."

"B-but don't be mad at him." In Baekhyun's perspective, he feels like he is still responsible of others' reaction towards the man. Something urges him to protect Chanyeol even if he's the one harming Baekhyun.

"I wouldn't, we wouldn't." Mrs. Byun reassured Baekhyun.

Like Baekhyun, Mrs. Byun finds it difficult to hate Chanyeol. She witnessed how Chanyeol care for his son. She knows that their love is genuine. But seeing Baekhyun in this state somewhat changes it.

"We're not good with words, but we can be great listeners. You can always talk about it, don't keep the pain to yourself."

"I-I d-don't k-know."
"I saw it coming, the break-up. I tried to fix it, but I don't even know what's broken." Baekhyun was shaking. He didn't expect himself to cry hard; he didn't realize how painful it is until he admit it to himself.

"Ssssh."

Baekhyun cried and cried, no words were spoken at all. Being embraced by your mother may be the simplest way to comfort someone, but it was more than enough for Baekhyun.
