4:30 P.M
Baekhyun's classes ended almost two hours ago, but because someone asked him to give back his ex's hoodie to him, he's still in the university, patiently waiting for Chanyeol.
Of course, it was a lame excuse but Baekhyun would take all the chances he can get just so he could meet Chanyeol in person. He could have talk to him earlier when they were both free, but Baekhyun doesn't want to take Chanyeol's vacant away from him. At least now, they could go home together even though they live on different areas.
Baekhyun asked someone from Chanyeol's class about their dismissal a while ago. The person gave him a weird look for not knowing his boyfriend's schedule. Baekhyun simply reasoned out that he lost his own copy of the schedule which worked anyways.
Thirty more minutes. Baekhyun still haven't figured out how will he approach Chanyeol, but he'll make it simple as he can. His mind is telling him that Chanyeol hasn't talked about their break-up to anyone yet, maybe to some close friends.
"Waiting for your boyfriend?" Baekhyun looked at the person. They are in the same height, but the man's features give the impression of softness, kindness, and something pure. He thought no one would visit the library on afternoon anymore because almost all of the all classes are ending soon, but here he is, meeting an unfamiliar face again.
"Yeah, you could say that. Haha." Baekhyun's tone was dry, unsure of what to answer since he doesn't want to tell that he's desperately waiting for his ex.
"How 'bout you?", Baekhyun added.
"I guess I'm hiding." Like Baekhyun, he faked a laugh too. Baekhyun could sense the awkward atmosphere taking over the peaceful silence he has before the man came. Baekhyun wants to offer him a seat, but he noticed that he's already comfortably standing.
Baekhyun internally laughs at the situation. All these unexpected meetings with unfamiliar people always lead to him being curious of their lives, but he chose to keep his curiosity on him. Baekhyun doesn't want to them to think that he is someone who likes minding other's business.
A moment of silence. The man doesn't seem to be bothered by the uncomfortable silence unlike him. He's just casually checking his phone while Baekhyun is, again, clueless of what to do.
"Nice talking to you, but I need to go now." The man broke the silence, but before Baekhyun could said his good bye, he already left.
Barging in to someone's comfort zone, and then talk to them as if you're not strangers to each other- "Is this how you make friends?", Baekhyun asked.
Baekhyun check his wristwatch and was alarmed when he noticed that Chanyeol's classes would end in less than five minutes. He immediately closed the book he scanned and returned it to its respective place. Baekhyun left after assuring that the table and chair he sat on were properly organized. If he wouldn't catch Chanyeol leave his room, it would be hard for him to follow him afterwards.
Reluctantly pushing anyone who's in his way and muttering a 'sorry', Baekhyun keeps on running. At this moment, no one is important but Chanyeol.
Oh. It is always like that even before.
He successfully managed to reached the classroom with the professor having his final talk. Baekhyun used the chance to breathe, wipe his sweat, and make himself appear presentable.
Looking on their window, Baekhyun could see Chanyeol's head resting on his hand. It is stupid, but he was thankful of Chanyeol's tall height because it made anything easier at times like this.
