'Try and understand, ' I said.
'I'm afraid that he'll ruin my business,' she said.
'At least give him a chance to prove himself. He's your best friend and you always had a crush on him!' I said peisuadingly.
'Was and had. Now he's nothing more than a stranger, 'she said sharply.
'Is he now?! 'I said controlling my anger.
'Yes. Now he's no more important to me, 'Alisha said firmly.
'Fine!! But if a friend can't help another friend in his difficult times then it is a shame to call yourself a friend! '
'Whatever. Now please stop talking about him. I'm sick of hearing these things!! '

What the hell!! She's not even listening, damn it!! How will I give this news to Paul. He'll be really upset listening this!

'Okay, I'll stop. But tell me one more thing. Why did you stop talking to Shein? I know she has a mistake but you should have atleast called her to make her realize that she was wrong, '

'I called!! I called her many times!! But she never answered or called back,'

She stopped talking, I didn't!!
She stopped caring, I didn't!!
She stopped calling, I didn't!!
She stopped texting, I didn't!!
She stopped initiating conversations, I didn't!!
The main thing is
She started hating me,
Though I loved her the most!!!

I could see the hurt in her eyes. I understand her. She was very hurt by what Shein did.

'If she makes up with you, will you forgive her?' I asked.
'Yes. But only if she apologizes to me, '
'Okay, and you are not going to give Paul a try? 'I asked hopefully.
'Never, ' I sighed. 'So, I'll talk to you later. I have a meeting to attend. See you, ' she said and busied herself with calls.
'See you, ' I said and left for home .

'What happened? 'My mom asked because I had not touched the food and was looking blankly at the wall.

'W.. What?... Nothing. I'm fine, '
'Now you will hide things from me?'
'Its nothing, '
'It is something. Tell me,'
'Our group is broken, 'I said blankly.
'What? How? When? 'She asked worriedly. I sighed.

I told her the whole story. She gasped when I reached the end.

'Really?! This much happened!! Oh god! Do something to bring them together!'
'I have no idea how I'm going to sort out the matter between them, 'I said dimly.
'Why is Alisha not trusting Paul?! Didn't Alisha like Paul since childhood? '
'Mom!!! You knew?! 'I said my mouth hung open.
'Of course I knew, 'she said smiling.

'Okay. So yeah, she did like him. But Paul didn't see her that way. He thought her to be his best friend and nothing more, '

'I see. But don't worry. You'll find out a way, 'she smiled reassuringly. I nodded

Suddenly I heard my phone ringing. It was Paul. I excused myself and went to my room.

How will I tell him that Alisha was not ready to offer him a job in her company.

'Hey, 'he said.
'Hey, '
'Did you talk to Alisha? What did she say? '
Heck!! This was the question I was dreading.
'Y.. Yeah, '
'So what did she say?! 'He said excitedly.
'She.. Um.. She.. '
'Refused. Right? I knew it. She has become a horrible person now Rosh!! She's a bit...... Leave it. I won't curse in front of you. But I told you she'll not give me a job. You didn't listen!! 'He said angrily.
'Paul listen, I know she has... 'I could not complete the sentence as he had cut the phone.

Ugh!! Someone help me to find a way out of this. It's getting worse and worse!!

**Hey guys!! Hope you're liking the story and not finding it boring. Well.. Can you all tell me one thing. Is Alisha doing right or wrong here?
