Today, people told me they're ugly. If you tell me that, you're not getting an ounce of pity from me. You're just going to anger me, especially if you're my friend because it frustrates me when other people don't see what I see and no, I don't expect full confidence bc it's not easy for everyone, it's certainly not for me all the time, and it's messed up to force ppl to get over it and "be confident" bc actually doing it takes alot more than the command of two words.
Beauty is not just being over six feet, having abs, muscles, & a toned, ripped bod. Beauty is not just being skinny with curves, having a bubble butt, big breasts, and a small waist. If you look like anything I described, that's great.
But that shouldn't be the standard. That shouldn't be the default. There shouldn't be one. Beauty is not calculated by a checklist or criteria. Beauty does not revolve around appearance!! And yet it does so often.
Having the dream body or prettiest face is nothing without personality. Only one can fade after time. And that's always appearance. The only ugliness you can possess is on the inside. And everyone has a little bit bc no one is ever 110% nice.
Personality isn't just about being nice, either. IRS about how much compassion you have in your heart, how you treat people, how you behave when no one's looking, and so much more. So, who you are inside will always be judged bc people are always watching to comment.
So if you think you're ugly, you're really being unfair to yourself and generalizing what beauty is. Don't do that. Understand beauty is so much more than looking pretty. Being Instagram worthy. Being goals. It's so much more than that.
