Steeve'sPOV

"How many times am I going to tell you this Steeve? A girl like Kareena is incapable of talking to a boy like you. On a scale of 1-10, it's -100!" Lola tells me for the tenth time today. I look at her and she pushes up her bright red glasses.

"Nothing's wrong if a guy dreams, and it is capable. I just have to get the strength to talk to her." I open my locker and shove my books in.

"You don't get do you? Stop keeping your hopes up, she's a bitch."

We close our lockers at the same time and walk to the cafeteria for lunch. We take up our trays and go to the food section. I take up two slices of pizza and an orange soda. Lola takes up a cheese sandwich, a blue berry muffin and a box of milk. We walk out the double doors of Lakebridge High school and go under our favourite tree to sit on the grass.

"She's not a bitch, maybe she acts like one but I'm sure she's a nice girl inside. You know what I could do? I could stop being a nerd!" I say taking a bite from my pizza. She shakes her head.

"Your the stupidest fifteen year old I have ever met. Who knew boys were so stupid?"

"I'm pretty sure I'm the only boy you've ever met so you don't know if the other boys are stupid. Oh, and I'm not stupid!" I glare at her and she scoffs.

"Whatever, your only making me not wanting to meet other boys. Anyway, if she wasn't a bitch, she wouldn't be acting like one. Then again, you can't just being a nerd, it's in your jeans."

"I can stop being a nerd. I can stop dressing like a nerd so she can look at me differently, and maybe I can hang out with her."

"Well, if your not being a nerd plan works, what am I going to do? Are you just gonna leave me to go though high school by myself? Nice best friend you are!" She pouts.

"You know I would never do that, your my buddy!" I wrap my arm around her shoulder and touch her nose. She giggles, her cheeks getting red.

"Is my girl blushing? Awww!" I grin at her totally adorable freckled face.

"One, I'm not blushing, and two, I'm not your girl!"

"Yes you are, and might I add, if you could see your face right now, you would totally agree with me that your cheeks and your glasses are the same colour." I poke her cheeks, which are now getting redder by the second.

"Stop it!" she pushes me and I hold on to her arm to carry her down with me.

"Hey! That's so not fair!" She lays on my chest punching me wildly like an angry gorilla.

"Ow! That hurts!" I say but she continues. I have the perfect plan. I make tears well up in my eyes and seconds later, there falling down my cheeks.

"Oh no! Oh my gosh! I didn't mean to hurt you. I wasn't thinking. I'm so sorry, so so sorry." See what I mean? Both of her hands are on my cheeks and she sits up carrying me up with her. I want to burst out with laughter but I have to control myself just for a little while longer. I hold my chest and my side and groan like I'm in pain.

"I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" I so love her like this. She looks so vulnerable. She looks into my hazel blue eyes and I look into her brown ones. I see a strong emotion but I can't quite tell what it is. I put it in the back of my mind and start to grin.

"You lying-" I start to tickle her.

"Oh my gosh! Please stop!"

"You have to tell me something first."

"Wh-what?" chokes out.

"Tell me I'm sexy," she's laughing so hard, tears are about to pour out.
