Days later I received a text from you asking if we could meet for coffee, I wanted to say no so badly, the molecules in my body were practically shaking telling me to say no, this was my chance to move on. But I gave in almost immediately. I had to know what you had to say, what you wanted to tell me so desperately that you needed to see me in person. So I agreed. When I came outside to meet you, you looked like you were practically in tears. You quickly got out of the car and engulfed me in an embrace. I held back tears when you apologized for pushing me away. That day felt like something we had done a million times before but this time, there was something new to it. A sense of clarity. After that day, no matter how wonderful it was and how relieved I felt to be in your arms, I knew that I had to move on. I knew I couldn't keep going back to you and finally, I was okay with that. We had an epic love.

You were my first true, pure love, but all love stories must come to an end.
