Scarlett's P.O.V.
I woke up an hour earlier than I usually do and the first thing I saw when I woke up was the window and through the window was the brown-haired boy changing, and revealing his abs. Am I gonna have to see this every morning since he's my neighbor?

I slowly move my blanket off of me to get out of bed. As I get up I remember to close my curtains so he doesn't see me. Looks like I'm gonna have to keep it closed from now on.

Does he always wake up this early?

I head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I get stuck in my room for almost an hour trying to decide what I'm going to wear, I'm not one of those girls who struggle to look good it's just I literally have nothing to wear.

As I finally found clothes to wear I head downstairs and I see that no one is home. I turn on my T.V. and started relaxing. I mean I still have an hour left and my school is only 5 minutes away so why not?

I start to go through my phone and see that my bestfriend Susan posted a new picture with her boyfriend Kyle. They look so cute together! But I don't trust him, there's something sketchy about him. But he makes her happy.

"Oh shit" I muttered while looking at the time. I'm late!!! I quickly put my shoes on, grabbed my backpack, keys, and headed out the door.
I quickly get in my car and put on my seatbelt. Speeded out the drive way.

Just when I thought I finally made it to class on time I hear the bell ring meaning I'm late and I hear my teacher say my name.

Isaac's P.O.V.
I snooze my alarm and sleep for 5 more minutes. I finally wake up and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I start to change my clothes, I look back at the girl's window and see her eyes closed and her mouth covered by the blanket.

As I finish changing I head downstairs and grab a banana. I see a note on fridge.

"I'm taking your car with me so find a ride to school."
-Dad

"Fuck!" I shout while slamming the table. Why does he have my car. He didn't even bother to tell me why he took my car!

I quickly get my phone out of my pocket and dial Jenna's number. "Hello?" I say on the phone. "Yes hi babe" she replies. "Can you give me a ride to school?"

"Sorry babe I can't I need to finish my homework so I'm gonna be late to school" she says. "That's okay baby I'll just ask one of the guys." I hang up.

Thirty minutes went by and I'm still waiting for a ride. Finally I hear a honk and I see that my best friend Chris is waiting in the car for me.

As I get in the car I start to greet Chris. "Good morning, thanks for giving me a ride." I say. "Anytime Isaac" he replies.

"So he took your car again?" Chris asks. "Yeah" I sigh. "Asshole" Chris mutters. Chris knows how my dad is and what I deal with everyday. I consider him like my brother because we're so close.

"Listen you know I'm here for you always." He says to me. Chris is the nice one out of all my guy friends. He is known as the good hearted one. "And if you ever need me to kick that old man's ass, I will" he adds. We start to laugh. "I wish but he hits hard."

Chris takes a glance at my face and I notice he saw the small bruise on my cheek. "He hit you again?" He asks. I nod my head in response.

"He's gotta stop doing this, you have to tell him" he convinces me. "He never listens" I reply. "So he does this often?!" He asks shockingly. "Yes"

"And you have been doing nothing?"

"I can't Chris, he's a psycho, let's just not talk about this." I say.

"Okay fine how is Jenna?" He asks. "She's good, I called her to come but she couldn't make it." I reply.

"Why is that?" He asks curiously. "She had to do some homework." Chris starts to laugh.

"What is so funny? Why are you laughing?" I ask him. "Jenna being late to do homework? Sounds funny to me." "How?" I ask.

"She never cares about homework." He says while laughing.

"Well it's a new school year, she's probably starting to care about her studies" I tell him.

"Yeah right" He says sarcastically. "Okay what are you implying Chris?" I snap.

"Nothing nothing it's just she's not the type of girl to be caring about anything" he says to me. "Don't say that, she's been there for me when my dad went to jail." I argue.

"Yeah she was there for you, but by smoking and sex, sure it made you feel better, but it didn't help you longterm."

"She didn't know what to say about my dad going to jail, atleast she was there!" I snap again.

"Okay fine, I'll stop, but I'm just saying she could've tried to help out more. I just don't trust her Isaac."

"Well I do trust her, she tried her best."

"I'm just looking out for you." He says while patting my back. "Thank you" I say with a smile.

We finally got to the school but we arrived kinda late, we quickly grabbed our stuff and got out of the car. We both had a different class first period. "See you at break" I say to him. "See you." He replies.

I run to my class and stop as soon as I heard the bell ring, oh god I'm gonna get detention.

I came a few minutes late to class and I try to quickly get in my seat without the teacher looking but it was too late. "Isaac, you're getting detention because you were late again." my teacher says. I nod my head in response.

"Same goes for you Scarlett" he says to another girl who was by the door, she also came in late. I try to get a good look to see who it is and I recognize my neighbor, the mysterious shy girl. So that's her name?

"Uh-h what?" she says nervously to him. "You were late therefore you're getting detention" he replies.

"What a dick am i right?" I say to Scarlett.

"Uh yeah I guess heh" she says while getting into her seat. She seems really shy. "I'm Isaac" I say to her trying to create conversation. "I-I'm S-Scarlett" she stutters. "You're my neighbor, you know that right?" I ask. "Really?" she asks. "Yeah I saw you getting out of your house this morning" I reply.

I actually didn't see her this morning I just lied. I didn't want to tell her I knew she was my neighbor because I was looking through her window .
