Chapter fourteen: Pearls of strength

A gunshot was fired by Sheriff Keller. Next thing we know is that, New York's heart throb; Nick St. Clair Was bleeding endlessly on a cold Winter night. Doctors were able to Revive him. He is now in a stable condition and will be imprisoned on the night of New Year. Veronica Lodge is currently in a critical condition. The down of Riverdale is continuing to pray for Ms. Lodge.

*At the Hospital*

Archie! How is Veronica? Hermione asked in a very worried tone.

She just got out of Surgery. They stabbed her in the arm, countless times. She will be okay, I promise. Archie replies while comforting Hermione.

Arch, Me and Fangs are gonna head on to the White Wrym. it's getting kinda late. Sweetpea says and Archie nods.

Actually, i'll come with you guys. Grandpa might be worried. Toni adds.

The serpents leave to head for the Wyrm, While the rest stayed with Archie and Hermione.

Hey V, i know you could hear me. I need you to be strong and to keep fighting. Your family needs you. I need you. I'm marrying Jughead and i want you to be my Maid of Honor. It won't be a special day without you, Veronica. Betty says as tears run down her eyes.

A week has past and Veronica hasn't woken up yet. The doctors have been monitoring her unborn child's condition. The whole town of Riverdale, South and North; have been praying for her fast recovery. Kylie Summers, Reggie Mantle and Valerie brown have been sent to Riverdale's Juvenile after found guilty for the case of attempted murder and abduction.

Good morning Ronnie! I brought you flowers. I need you to keep fighting! I still need you here. I love you so much. Archie says as he puts a diamond ring on Veronica's finger.

Suddenly, Veronica moves her fingers. And whispered "Archie". Archie called the doctors and the nurses to tell them that Veronica has already woken up.

Archie. What's this? Veronica says as she looks at her hand. Suddenly, tears start falling from her weak dark brown eyes.

Veronica! I almost lost you, and I won't let that happen again. The first time I met you at Pop's I thought "Wow. This Gorgeous Raven haired girl moved from New York. So glad to be seeing someone this beautiful around Riverdale!" Ever since then, I knew that you we're gonna be part of my life. You are my life. I love you even when you are always moody. I love you even if we always fight about where to eat. I'm so blessed that I get to wake up to you every morning. Even better, you gave me the greatest gift. Our Daughter. She's a warrior you know! What I'm saying here is, Veronica Lodge; will you marry me? Archie says as tears start filling his eyes even before he could finish.

I love you so much, Archiebald Andrews! Veronica says as she sits up and kisses Archie.

I missed ya, babe. Archie says as he smiles.

I missed you more. How's my baby? Is everything okay? Veronica says as she wraps her arms around her stomach.

She's a strong girl! Just like her mommy. Archie replies.

Where's Betty? And Jughead? How's Kevin? Can we go see Jellybean? Did you call mom? Veronica in a very excited tone.

The doctors suddenly enter.
How are you miss Lodge? We are glad you are already awake! We took care of your baby while you were unconscious. We will be doing some tests to see if you are really already okay.

Veronica nods.

Archie calls Betty
Betty: what's up Arch, is everything okay?
Archie: everything is great. Better than great!
Betty: why? Is Veronica improving?
*Archie hands the phone to Veronica"
Veronica: I don't know, am I B?
Betty was so shocked to hear her Best Friends voice.
Betty: oh my gosh! V! You're back!!!! I'm heading there right now! Betty says in a very excited and happy manner
Phone call ends

Jughead! We have to go to the hospital, now! Hurry! Let's go! Veronica is awake!!!! Betty says while Jumping and rushing out of her apartment.

Whoaaa! Slow down Betty! Let's head to the hospital right now! Jughead replies

They soon arrived at the hospital with Jellybean.
Jellybean runs in to hug Veronica.

Ronnie! I missed you soo much! Jellybean says as she jumps in Veronica's bed to cuddle with her.

I miss you more Princess! Veronica says as she squeezes Jellybean.
Arch, where is Betty and Jughead? Veronica adds

V! Betty yells as she sees Veronica! She starts hugging Veronica very tightly.

Easy Betty, let's not forget that she is still recovering. Archie says as he laughs at Betty.

I missed you soo much Betty! How's everything? Veronica asked

Everything is good. Kevin and Jellybean stayed with me in the apartment while you were away. Betty says

Ronnie look! I made this for you and for your baby in your belly. Jellybean says as she shows the painting she made.

I love it Princess! Veronica says as she hugs Jellybean.

Archie keeps thinking to himself. Everything is okay now. Veronica is awake, they're getting married, the baby is safe and the suspects were arrested. The only problem he has to face now is, telling Veronica that he has to move to Chicago.
