Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Sleepover Disaster

Still Saturday 16th May

Me and dad set of onto the road , while Grandpa waved and yelled:

" Frank, make sure to drop me Doctors and to the fanciest restrunat you can find!"

Dad replylied with:

" Will do!"

Okay so when we set off, you could hear a PIN drop in the car, and I was starting to feel a bit werid. I guess dad must of felt a bit like that too, because he put his CD in the thing and it was BLASTING COUNTRY music, since Dad put the volume to MAX. Here is what it kinda sounded like:

But don't watch ALL of it, because trust me, it's worse then horrible. I tried to replace the CD with Rodrick's spare pop music, but Dad wasn't bugging it. And by the way, Uncle Gerry lives REALLY far,  so I had to listen the that music for half an HOUR.

Half  an hour later
Okay, me and dad arrived at his house. Dad went to see what kind of music Uncle Gerry has, don't ask why. I decided to go to Uncle Gerry because hey, that's what I came here for. I found him upstairs taking selfies with his new girlfriend.

Uncle Gerry has had more then 5 GIRLFRIENDS and trust me, he  dumped ALL of them. So I waited for him to finish ( which took FOREVER) and once his girl went to the bathroom, I told Uncle Gerry everything.

Girlfriend  goes bathroom

Me: " Hey Uncle Gerry?"

Gerry ( Uncle Gerry: " Ye?"

What is up with everybody responding with " Ye" all the time. 😐

Me: " I need some advice."

Gerry: " What with?"

Me: " I'm going to a girls sleepover
on Monday, and i'm not ready"

Gerry: " I don't get you"

Seriously, this person dated over 5 people and STILL has no idea what i'm talking about.

Me: " Well, I don't know what to wear,act like and say."

Gerry: " Ohhhh"

Me: " You get me?"

Gerry: " Ye"

Again  with the " Ye"

Me: "So, any advice?"

Gerry: " I think you should just be yourself. They will like you if you just be yourself. Lieing just makes it worse."

Me: " Thanks Uncle Gerry."

Gerry: " Don't forget to wear some cool pjs , though!"

I sigh.

Me: "😑 I won't"

Girlfriend  Comes  Back.

Gerry: " Sorry Greg, gotta go do, stuff. Good luck on the sleepover though!"

Me: "It's fine. And thanks. "

Dad: " Greg, lets go. Gerry has no country music .

Me: " Sure Dad, i'm done anyways."

We get in the car and they wave goodbye. And dad switches on the music.
