Half a hour later Toni hears a knock on the door knowing full well it was no one but Tyrone she opens the door slowly.
" Hey beautiful." Tyrone says kissing her forehead
" Hi." Toni replies with a gentle smile.. she had to admit him being there lifted her spirits a little. She invites him inside " Would you like anything to drink?" She offered
" No ma, I'm good.. where lil' mama at?" Tyrone asked asked Taking a sit on the couch
The mention of Nya made my heart hurt so bad, and evidently Tyrone caught on to that.
" Yoo, ma? What's Wrong?" He asked walking towards me.
I couldn't say a word, once he walked up close to me feeling his presence instantly made me weak and I fell into his arms and began to cry.
" Ma what's Wrong?" He Asked Again.
" They took my baby man! My heart! My soul! My pride & joy was snatched from me!"
" What!? Who!" Tyrone asked pulling me away so we could be face to face.
I had to catch my breath and pull myself together.. I sat Tyrone down and explained the entire situation to him. It shocked me tremendously that I even allowed myself to open up to him that night... but I knew right then that it was just something about him that could put me to ease and I so desperately wanted that in my life but I just wasn't sure how I would be able to handle letting someone be there for me....
That entire week Tyrone did everything possible to be there for Toni... He was really feeling her but for the life of him he just didn't understand why she could not trust him. Tyrone was a good guy and would do nothing to hurt her. He wanted to give her the world, the sun, the moon and all the stars if he could. Anything her heart desires he wanted to be able to provide it.
The day came for me to calm Mr. Walter. He transferred me to the main office for me to set a date for another home visit.
"Mrs. Howe's Office." A Woman dryly answered the phone
" Yes! I'm Antoin'Nae Johnson. My daughter was taken a few days ago and I'm calling to set up another home visit."
" Oh yes! I was informed I've been waiting on your call, What Day is best available for you?"
" Today, tomorrow as soon as possible!" Toni replied not trying to hide how desperate she was at all.
" Alright! Tomorrow we'll do another home visit."
After that they said their goodbyes and hung up.
Toni felt at ease she Layed back for a while until she heard a knock at her door. She went to look through the peep hole and it was two officers. She slowly answered the door.
" Uhh yeeaa... officers how could I help you?" Toni asked nervously while opening the door....
" Antoin'Nae Johnson, that's you?"
" Yessir."
" Well we have more information on who broke in your home... may we come in?"
" Sure." Toni replied opening the door and moving to the side. Once inside she closed the door.
" Ma'am do you know anybody named Karla Wright?"
" Yea, that's my daughters grandma on her dad side."
" Well The handprints we Found is a match to hers."
" Excuse me!" I was furious I was so mad it felt as if my soul was on fire
" ma'am please remain calm, is there any problems between you two?" The officer asked Taking a pad and pen out of his pocket.
" she was a bit upset that I wouldn't allow my daughter to stay with her alone."
" Well why won't you? That is her grandmother... have she had any issues with breaking in or any other criminal activities in the past?"
" Well sir, I simply do not trust her.. Her son raped me a while back which is how I got pregnant with my daughter. She seemed to hate the ground I walked on once it Came Out that her son raped me she didn't even believe me.. Then not too long ago her son got killed and now you want to be apart of my child life for whatever reason.. it didn't seem right." I responded truthfully.
" Well Ma'am Did you have Anything to do with the murder of her son?"
" No sir not at all he messed around and messed with some other girl and her family got to him... I must admit when the news got back to me I wasn't too hurt about the situation but the person who killed her son turned his self in already.. " I replied
" I Completely Understand ... well that's all for today ma'am thanks for your time." The officer said.
