The reason why [L.H]

Chapter 3) Flashbacks

We were at the art gallery that Liz had rented for the grand event. Getting everything ready for saturday, and seeing as it was already wednesday, we were busy. Everything had to be done by at least friday, but i would say that we had done a pretty good job. Liz was working with two others at the big wall where she would reveal the photographs of me, on the night of the event. So that meant, that i couldn't go in there. I wanted to sneak in, just to take a little peak, but no. She even had someone guarding the entrance to it, so that i couldn't do.

She had me working on this wall, she told me it meant a lot to her that i did it. And as soon as i saw the photos i knew why. It was the pictures she had taken of the band, they were amazing. She really knew how to capture a moment, so i made it my duty to make this look great. That meant i was the boss over my other coworkers, i think they hated me right now. But this had to look the absolute best, especially for Liz, i could feel that this would be something she had wanted to show off. To all that were coming.

We worked hard on making sure everything was perfect, it had to be. A couple of hours later we were done, the others went to take a break. But i was too focused in the pictures, in the middle we had hung up a photo of the guys. I looked at it, they all look so different from when we were in high school. Michael had dyed his hair, so it was like a faded baby pink colour.

 Luke's hair had gotten longer, and there was no lip piercing to be seen. Little Calum, had gotten some tattoos, never really thought he was the type to get those, but people change. Then there was Ashton, the only one i didn't know a thing about, seeing as i had never met him. The drummer boy, yeah i must admit he was handsome.

As i was looking at this, taking all our work in. I felt someone come up, standing beside me ''Maya.. This is amazing'' I heard Liz say ''Well, i wanted it to look perfect, i know how much this means for you'' I said honestly ''Have you gotten a dress darling?'' She asked, i could feel she wanted to change the subject, as her voice was trembling. I saw some tears forming in her eyes, but she blinked them away ''Yes i have, my friend Laurel took me out a month ago.. And now i'm happy that she did'' I smiled at Liz 

''I already know that you're going to look absolutely breathtaking.. Now the only thing we're missing is the room with the photos of you, so i need you to take the rest of the days off'' She said as she looked at me. ''But'' I began ''No buts, you go home and rest.. Oh i'm so excited for this, i even forgot to tell you''

''Tell me what?'' I asked, getting curious ''Luke called me earlier. Seeing as they have to play here in Sydney, they're going to come earlier. Just so they can be here, to see this'' Liz said, i could feel the happiness in her voice. ''Oh really.. That's amazing Liz'' I smiled ''Yeah it is.. I bet they're going to be thrilled, to see you again also'' She had a big smile on her lips ''Um.. I don't know about that, we didn't exactly talk that much'' I said. Not wanting to tell her that they practically had cut me off, in high school ''Oh nonsense, Luke used to talk about you all the time.. Now i have to go, need to get this done, see you saturday Maya'' Liz said as she began to walk away. Leaving me standing here all confused, Luke talked about me?

I tried to shake it off, but i couldn't help but think about it, as i walked home. If he had talked so much about me, why did he just stop talking to me? As i walked home, i walked into somebody ''Im so sorry, i didn't look where i was going'' I said as i looked up. It was a guy, he had blue hair. Which reminded me of Michael, why did he stop talking to me? I thought as i walked away.

I got home, i was tired and wanted to relax. But suddenly i had all of these thoughts and questions. I sat in my bathtub, with a glass of wine. Trying to relax, letting the warm water relax my tense body.
