In a lowkey but luxurious black vehicle, deadly silence permeated the air with none choosing to speak. Due to the high soundproofing custom-fitted into the car, even the bustling noise of rushing afternoon traffic outside was minimised. The driver, who had persevered through the stifling silence, took his chance to glance towards the rear mirror at the two figures in the backseat- one, being his boss, and the other, the boy they were told to 'escort' to the restaurant earlier today.

Fixing his gaze back to the road- almost immediately, as if he didn't dare to be caught looking; the driver mentally expressed his doubts at why the boss had chosen to ride back with the abductee, instead of just knocking the boy out and leaving him somewhere. It must be stressed that this behaviour from the boss was incredibly abnormal- no, it's more accurate to say that this is an unprecedented incident. Hence, pausing between thinking, he hastily corrected this thought: 'no no the boss never shows mercy, this kid must be important seeing as he hasn't been ordered to be killed off'.

With slightly knitted brows and tersed lips, the boy in question sat facing the tinted car windows with a calm demeanor displayed on his stunning visage. Yet, if you closely inspected, the faintest sign of anxiety could be deduced from the tense aura he unconsciously emitted. Recalling what he had heard from the tight-lipped man, who had an aloof aura that seemed to permanently exude 'I am above talking to the masses', Yun Wuqiong carefully deliberated over what he should do from now on. In the private room of the high class restaurant he had been captured into; before standing up and gesturing for them to leave, all that Long Lijie had disclosed was:

"Yun Wulian, Yun Wuqian's half brother. Ah, your 'father' is dead. Follow me."

Then, the man talked no more- and anyways, Yun Wuqiong's thoughts were so disorientated that he was really in no mood to talk. While the boy appeared to still look elegant and composed, his slight facial cues gave way to the disarray of his mind- as if Long Lijie's previous words were, crunch by crunch, still being slowly digested into his brain. Yun Wuqiong, so concentrated in his scattered thoughts, failed to notice a sliver of amusement flash by in the dark eyes of the overbearing man beside him.

Speaking back to the disorientated youth however; if it can be said that he was profusely confused in the restaurant, than it can only be said that currently his mind was suffering a monstrous calamity. 'Your father is dead.. Your father is DEAD?!! DEAD your mum!!!' Wuqiong moaned mentally, those words echoing with despair like a broken record within his brain.

As far as he was concerned, Wuqiong was thrown into this world without a system and thus wasn't given missions that transmigrators usually have to complete- 'I am considered a transmigrator right? Shouldn't I be doing tasks like counterattacking scum, assisting the world plot or something?' However, instead of receiving a system which gave him tasks, he was randomly thrown into the first world and could distinctly feel upon waking up; like an unerasable instinct stemming from his soul, the wish of the original soul. From the beginning, it was like a message delivered into every fibre of his nerves upon entering this world, conveying the original Yun Wuqiong's biggest regret, the cause of his sorrow and his most intense desire for a family, somewhere to call home, or rather- he just wanted to feel loved.

Vibrating within him, the feeling was hard to describe and overwhelming- the deep loneliness of the original soul almost made Wuqiong feel that he himself really yearned for a family too. This feeling was what reassured him to confidently venture forth in this world, giving purpose to his existence- subconsciously, Wuqiong felt that his ultimate goal was to fulfil Yun Wuqiong's need for a genuine family. In fact, he felt that he simply must fulfil Yun Wuqiong's wish; although his previous hosts had never expressed this sense of duty and familiarity to the original soul of whose bodies they occupied, Wuqiong could feel his soul telling him that completing the original's wishes is very important.
