Chapter 1.12

In a spacious and tastefully furnished room, Wuqiong absentmindedly unpacked onto the queen sized bed what little clothes and items Long Lijie had his men transport over from the dorm. Thinking back to the conversation he had earlier with that overbearing man, Wuqiong was just glad that the other seemed to trust him enough to impart the important points of this world to the clueless him now. 'It makes sense as it is hard to trust another outsider when there are missions to complete... it's pretty much unprecedented to run into someone else in a world, due to how much disturbance.. even just one outsider creates.'

Essentially, Wuqiong was now in this world as a 'reincarnated' entity whether he liked it or not, so without being a system or host who had access to world plots, he couldn't have guessed the trajectory of this world's will. Why or how he was in this position, Wuqiong felt that he couldn't be sure.. as a system, there was virtually no threat to his existence- but now, he wasn't quite sure what would determine that he exists after this world, assuming he does at all. In any case, he concluded that it was even more important to fulfil the strong wishes/urges that he felt from the previous soul of the body he resided in, this seemed to be the only purpose imprinted strongly in his mind when he first entered this world. 'What am I, a lone-wolf 'fixing the cannon fodder's fate' transmigrator without a system or any help? What a mystery..'

Regardless, Wuqiong felt that he would cherish the life he was given and these emotions he could feel now. Oddly enough, it felt like emotions were something he had experienced before, but had been taken away. This was just a passing thought, but it was enough to make Wuqiong wonder about his origins and what systems really were. This modern world, which seemed as if it'd be a boring place to stay in, was actually quite interesting- or at least, there were interesting people like Zhi Xunmei who were highly autonomous from the plot and change according to situation, instead of being easy to manipulate. Also, now that Long Lijie had decided to tell him the world plot that they existed inside, he felt that this world became even more interesting- whether that was a good thing or not.

Surprisingly, according to what Long Lijie had told him, Wuqiong's initial guess based on his memories had been wrong. The male lead or the world's beloved protagonist title was no longer held by Lin Yinze, however it was previously in the timeline that Wuqiong's memory revealed to him. Long Lijie, with his signature one eyebrow raised look and a condescending smile that seemed to say, 'oh, you didn't know?', succinctly explained the plot to Wuqiong in the living room earlier. It was like this:

Originally, the world's perfectly orchestrated plot was meant to be relatively simple. Between the ML and FL, there should have been no major issues to deride the plot; together, they would work through trials and tribulations together that would ultimately serve to shed Zhi Xunmei's defences and strengthen their love; such as Zhi Xunmei's complicated background and her scheming family, as well as Lin Yinze's fight for the royal throne and the factions behind each successor. These were all integral elements to the plot, which started from when the ML and FL first meet again in high school. Again, because they were actually childhood friends before Zhi Xunmei underwent a situation so traumatic.. she forgot her memories before her mundane and harsh days as an orphan.

Thus, Lin Yinze being a typical male lead with a possessive streak, would be the one to take initiative to interact with and eventually win over Zhi Xunmei's careful and distrusting nature. Then, they would move onto a new arc, into adulthood together to stand through many trials before and after their marriage until the world was satisfied with the result of its leads within the Weiqi nation. Of course, Lin Yinze and Zhi Xunmei were not the only leads in this world. Most worlds contained several plots that reached their ultimatum to keep the world energy in equilibrium. Like this, the chosen leads of the world would undergo reincarnations respectively within their roles infinitely.
