The settlement was placed somewhere in New York. After me, Will, and Oro set out, we went to the area that was next to the settlement which was Central Park. While we were walking to the park, Will said there were also other people who were sent out with the same reasons such as us. One was that we wanted to get out of the settlement because of it's rotten stench and streets filled with trash. One was to find out why all of this started. I didn't expect this journey to be long. I did not know what else I signed up for until we arrived in the park.
There were dead bodies everywhere. I couldn't imagine how a peaceful place like Central Park may contain such a gruesome massacre. Oro did not want to go further into the park since he was very sensitive to scent. Will put a gas mask on his dog so he would be able to enter the park with us. Will couldn't recognize what creature/s did this, but what we know is that it is a humanoid creature based from the look and size of it's footsteps. We searched the area for useful tools and supplies. We noticed something about the bodies, there were bullets that punctured their organs. Two guesses for what actually killed all of these people, Bandits, but the footsteps would be unexplainable, A creature, but the bullets wouldn't have any explanation. Unless there's one bullshit creature that shoots bullets..
We entered one of the sheds but this one was completely dark. Oro growled and stood cautious for some reason. I turned on my flashlight and saw a man swallowing a child. Up to this hour, I cannot forget what we saw. We were frightened so we shot the man excessively. He, or It was still alive then deformed into this tall lanky humanoid creature with cavernous white eyes and long claws. It sprung itself against me, biting into my shoulder and sticking it's claws into my sides. As I was in excruciating pain, Will shot it's head making it's brain splatter against the ground. It was dead.
I was starting to feel unconscious as I was losing blood and my body feeling numb. But when Will was stopping me from bleeding, I was in agonising pain. Thinking about it makes me cringe.. but since I'm making still writing in this journal, Will succeeded in putting me back onto my feet. Right now, we're settling in an abandoned building. Oro didn't feel uncomfortable here so this place was safe. I am afraid of what we will be facing against next.
