Magnus was standing in his kitchen, watching Alec make them morning coffee. After a long whining about how Magnus would have already finished making it instead but being persistent as ever, he was now watching the man he loved in his apartment making them both morning coffee. It made him feel slightly more normal. The last couple of days had been weird ever since Octavia came back from Raphael's. Still not fully aware of what happened couple night's back, Octavia had been acting weird. Staying inside of her room, looking all gloomy and pissed off, like more than normal. Something serious was off with her but Magnus just didn't know exactly what. But he knew it had something to do with Raphael. It was more than obvious.
"What's wrong?" Alec asked suddenly noticing the look on the warlock's face.
"Oh, It's nothing. Just Octavia," Magnus replied with a soft worried smile. Alec raised his eyebrows.
"Maybe you should find out what happened. You know her the best."
"I should know her the best," Magnus snorted. "-but Octavia Santiago is far more complex than that."
"Have you talked to Raphael?" Alec asked pouring himself a cup of coffee and handing it to Magnus. Magnus sighed shortly, taking a sip of fresh coffee
"Don't get me even started how complicated the other half is." Alec sighed quietly, taking Magnus' hand and pulling him towards the balcony. Their balcony. He loved the view from Magnus' apartment and he always felt happiest, drinking his morning coffee on the balcony. The sun was almost up, shining from between the buildings.
"Lovely morning," Magnus said smiling and inhaling the fresh air. Alec smiled back at him.
"Too bad I gotta go in a minute," Alec said quietly. "Go do your duty shadowhunter," Magnus smirked trying to ease up Alec, he was looking awfully tense.
"I have a bad feeling about what's coming next Magnus, and I need to have Institute ready to fight if something goes down while we're in Idris."
Magnus smiled. "Don't worry, everything's going to be fine. When you'll be back from Idris?"
"I don't know yet, couple days probably. You'll be okay here by yourself?" Magnus nodded rolling his eyes.
"I'm High Warlock of Brooklyn, I'm very powerful plus I'm living with a nasty vampire so I think the odds are in my favor," he chuckled. "Now go or you're going to be late." Alec smiled pulling the warlock closer to him, giving him a soft kiss.
"That's all I'm going to get?" Magnus questioned shortly with a teasing smirk, pulling Alec closer again. But their moment was interrupted with a loud flash as suddenly the portal appeared to the living room behind them. Alec stepped away from Magnus quickly turning his head towards the portal.
"What the hell?"
Raphael walked out of the portal, looking very, very pissed off.
"MAGNUS!" his loud voice filled the room. Magnus sighed loudly. This was way too early for Raphael&Octavia drama, way too early. He walked into the living room, to greet his friend.
"Raphael, what are you doing here?"
"You fucking slept with my wife?!" his voice echoed in the room. Alec shot Magnus a nasty look, this was something he didn't want to hear.
Magnus raised his eyebrows, slightly amused, "like 45 years ago yes, I thought you knew."
"Found out recently."
"Oh! that explains," Magnus said quietly, looking surprised and realizing how awkward the situation was turning, Alec still looking at him judging.
"I would love to punch your nose off from your face for that" Raphael sighed loudly before continuing, "-but I'm not here for that amigo."
"She's in her room if you're looking for her," Magnus replied. "Raphael, I really don't know what's going on, but you seriously messed her up and I don't want to get involved."
"Involved? Magnus, you slept with a married woman and you don't want to get involved?!"
"It was a past mistake 45 years ago, she was young and high plus I was drunk so what you can expect", Magnus defended himself rolling his eyes. "This is not the point of all this. You really messed her up this time, Raphael."
"What the hell were you thinking? You tried to kill her?" Magnus said raising his voice to the vampire.
"I know."
"So, you better fix this before it's too late!"
"This is way too much drama for me, I gotta go!" Alec murmured quickly, turning towards the door and slamming the door behind him leaving Magnus and Raphael to the living room.
"Did you really have to do that?" Magnus asked. "Alec doesn't have to know all the glory details of my past."
"Well sorry. I didn't want to know them either."
"So, care to tell me the whole story of what happened?" Magnus asked raising his eyebrow. Raphael didn't reply. They were staring at each other, both equally pissed off.
"Get over your ego Raphael! Yes, I slept with Octavia and that happened only once, and that baby was definitely a Lightwood," Magus rolled his eyes.
"Okay, I'm going to tell you everything but just for you to know, I regret my actions."
"Well, good for you, now I need a drink," Magnus sighed. Raphael smirked easing up, making his way to Magnus bar table.
"Make it a strong one."
