Kakashi's POV

Once I'm outside Kanzaki's cell I feel my heart break because of the miles I ran to trick her for information.

I have one more idea left but I have no idea if it will work so its a fifty-fifty chance of this working in my favor.

I leave the prison as I head towards the Leaf gates as I run as fast as I can so I'll get back as fast as possible.

Once I'm there I run towards the Hidden Cloud village so I can track Itachi down and see if he'll come see Kanzaki.

-2 hours later-

I finally tracked down Itachi using my hounds and I see him with some other guy but they are about to separate.

Once Itachi is alone I step out in the open and he turns to see me but he's not surprised or anything.

"What do you want, Kakashi?" He asks calmly.

"Kanzaki...we need your help. I need your help." I say softly.

"What's wrong with her?" He asks with a little more concern in his voice.

"She turned herself in to the Leaf. But she's so close to giving up on everything to protect you and whatever happened that night." I say and his eyes widen a bit.

"So, what do you expect me to do?" 

"Just talk to her. Please...I literally have nothing else in mind to help her. She needs to pull herself together and get out of that cell." I beg with pleading eyes.

"Fine. I'll try." He says and I smile.

"Thank you. Follow me." I say as we head back to the Leaf.

Once we're there Itachi transforms into a random Leaf ninja as we head to prison where we'll be checked for weapons and asked a few questions.

Once we reach the doors a man stops us and searches for weapons like I predicted.

"Here to see Kanzaki, again?" The man asks me.

"Yeah."

"What are your relations to her?" He asks which was directed towards Itachi.

"That's her distant cousin on my mom's side." I answer before he can.

"Okay, go ahead."

We walk down the hall and Itachi just looks at me with concern as we reach her cell door as I open it.

"I'll wait here." I say.

Kanzaki's POV

I hear the cell door open slowly but I keep my back towards whoever came inside when the person clears their throat.

I sit up slowly as my ribs ache when a sharp pain causes my hand to rush to my side as I hold it while taking a deep breath.

I turn my head slightly to see a sight I didn't think I'd see ever again as my face sinks and tears form in my eyes.

"Itachi...No. It's probably Kakashi again." I mumble as I turn around so my legs are hanging off the bed.

"Would Kakashi know why Sasuke is still alive?" He asks and I think about it for a second.

"True. What are you doing here?" I ask as I bite my lip to hold back a groan.

"Kakashi told me you gave up and turned yourself in. Kanzaki, the reason I said those things to you before was because Kisame was around. If the organization knows there is someone out there that I care about...they'll try to kill them. I will always hold you in a special place in my heart. Only you can have that place in my heart." Itachi says with his head hung low.

"okay.." I say softly.

"So, don't give up. Escape this place or tell the truth. Just get out of here." 

"And do what? Sasuke hates me. I told the truth. I helped with the massacre. There's nothing left for me out there." I plead.

"Find something. Kakashi is trying. But he also has to worry about his squad." 

"What if I join the Akatsuki with you?" I mumble softly.

"That's entirely up to you. But I can't help you escape. This will make you higher in the bingo books." He says with concern.

"I know. I don't care..Just go. I'll meet you when I can."

"Okay. We'll be near Tenchi Bridge for the next three days." 

After that he leaves and I sigh when I stand up to feel a sharp pain in my side again which could mean a broken rib.

I start doing some push ups to get back into shape but every time I push myself up off the ground I get a sharp pain.

I'll try to escape the next time they take me to the torture room so I can knock them out on the way back.

-In the morning-

I'm woken up from my cell door slamming open and I look over to see Ibiki and I know what time it is.

I get up as I follow him down the hallway when we turn a corner and I see the torture room ahead of me.

"One more torture session. You can make it, Kanzaki." I think to myself.

I enter the room and I go to the middle as Ibiki chains my legs to the floor and my arms are chained upward towards the ceiling after I'm changed into a thin white tank top.

I see Ibiki grab a whip as he goes around where my back is unprotected and I bite my lip from the suspense.

"I'll ask you again. Why was Sasuke left alive?" He asks and I take a deep breath.

"I'll tell you again...I don't know." I say angrily.

The whip hits me right on my back and I let out a scream that could make anyone deaf as I feel something warm running down my back.

"What happened to Shisui Uchiha?" He asks and I just sigh.

"I don't know. I'm not gonna tell you anything. I told you that. I'll die before I give up my friends." I say and the whip hits me on the back again.

My entire back goes numb as the slashes come one after another and finally I hear the whip hit the ground.

"Fine. Let's try something else." Ibiki says as he walks in front of me.

He stands in front of me as he pulls brass knuckles out of his pockets and he gets into a fighting stance.

"You better tell me what I wanna know or those ribs of yours won't last." He says and I just smirk.

"Never. Beat me all you want. I haven't told you anything before and that's not gonna change."

He punches me in the gut as I cough up blood and it runs down my mouth and it hits the floor.

-1 hour later-

Finally the torture session was over and my body feels like it's gonna break as I'm released from the chains.

Two ninja escort me back to my room but on my way there I pull my arms out of their grips.

They turns towards me and both charge but I slide between them but I also grab two kuni's from their pouches.

I turn and I throw them when I catch their jackets as they get pinned to the wall and I make a run for the exit.

Once I get there the bright light blinds me but I keep running as I put my hood up so no one sees me.

But I know people will be looking for me but I just need to hurry somewhere safe when one place comes to mind.
