Chapter 4: Ritsu, A New Member of The Phantom Party?

Today's Meme: Well it's not a meme but the neko Koro-Q karma absolutely killed me when I saw it. I mean...LOOK AT IT! IT'S F*CKING ADORABLE AS F*CK! 

When the Phantoms sat down in the class room they received news of a new transfer student joining the class. And then Karasuma rolled her in. Shadow recognized the female instantly.

I smirked brightly. "Yo Karma! It's Ritsu the Evolved Mage! I told you about her remember?" I questioned. He smirked. "Oh yeah! You did mention her a few times." He said. Ritsu appeared on her tablet. "Greetings everyone." She said. She then noticed me. "Mistress Shadow. It's been a while." She said in her typically monotone voice. I smiled. "Nice to see you too. How's the spell I taught you holding up?" I questioned. "I was reluctant at first to use such dark magic but it's proven effective. What of the spell I gave to you?" She asked. I smirked. "Very useful. Of course I haven't used it around my team yet. I'm saving it for a special occasion." I said snickering while looking at the Demon king evilly. He flinched a little. "Are you sure that spell can be used to take him down? I've never been able to use it properly or effectively." She said. I smirked. "Well when used by someone like me it can be easy. Do not fear the mage that practices one thousand spells. Fear the mage that practices one spell a thousand times." I said. "This is why I respect you Shadow. You're a powerful mage." She said. I laughed slightly. "I already told you I'm not a mage." I said. "Are you sure? You're skills at magic far exceed your physical skills." She said. "Now I wouldn't say that. I'm pretty sure I'm better with my swords than I am with my magic." I said dismissively propping my feet on my desk, leaning back in my chair with my hands resting behind my head. "And that's why your party has a warrior with physical skills that outrank his magic skills?" She asked. I shot up. "IF YOUR'RE GOING TO TEASE ME CAN YOU AT LEAST NOT DO IT WITH SUCH A MONOTONE VOICE!" I shouted pointing a finger at her. Everyone else burst out laughing at my out burst. "Ugh." I said rolling my eyes. I opened the window and stood on the window. "And where are you going?" Karasuma asked. I smirked. "Into town. I need to pick up a few things y'know. I have this gem I need to return for a quest I was doing. Basic warrior stuff. Later." I said jumping out the window. I heard a noise and saw Karma nearly crashing into me. I fell on the ground with him on top of me. "GET OFF ME!" I roared causing the class to look outside. "Hmm. No. You're comfy." He said literally laying on me. "I swear I'm about to kill you." I hissed. Shadow's stats are rising to mad levels. Karma got off of me letting me get up. "So why did you come flying out the window?" I asked. He scratched the back of his neck not looking at me. "It was your bug wasn't it?" I questioned. He nodded. "What did you do this time?" I asked. He didn't respond. I sighed. "Fine let's just get going now that you're out here." I said. "Yeah alright." He said obviously not wanting to talk about it. 

We went into town and turned in a few things completing a few fetch quests I had taken and went around picked up a few things from the shops. Once we went to the outside of town we talked for a little bit. Karma had gotten himself a new knife, but he kept his old knife with him still. I knew he liked duel wielding. I got two new swords as well. "So wanna break in the new swords and what not?" I questioned. He rubbed his hands together with an evil smirk. "What dungeon we going to?" He asked. "Let me check our levels." I said pulling up my party profile. "Hmm. You're level went up one since we've been with the E-class party. So you're level forty. I haven't gone up one yet so still level forty-eight." I said. "Okay then. So a dungeon with level forty or higher monsters then." He said pulling out his map. I heard a ding and picked up my communications crystal. "You've reached Shadow the Black Assassin." I said. "Hey Shadow it's me." Nagisa said. Karma put his map away. "We're going to a dungeon today to break in the newbie. You two coming?" Nagisa asked. I looked at Karma he shrugged. "Depends on what dungeon we're going to." I said. "Umm let me check. Hey Koro-sensei what dungeon are we going to?" He called. "Umm somewhere called Gungagun Cave." Nagisa said. Karma pulled up his map. "Home to level five stone monsters. The boss is level nineteen." Karma said. "Sounds a little weak but eh. Might as well. It'll help us get used to the new weapons." I said. "Alright Nagisa meet you outside the cave. Karma you got the teleportation crystal right?" I questioned putting the communications crystal away. He nodded and threw the crystal on the ground. Green mist surrounded us and teleported us outside the cave. "Now we wait?" Karma asked. "I guess." I said shrugging as I sat down and took a nap. I woke to the sound of foot steps. I saw the E-class approaching with Nagisa and Ritsu as well as Koro-sensei. I noticed Karma had passed out and was using my shoulder as a pillow. "Aw." Rio and a few of the others said. I smirked and shushed them quickly. "KARMA WAKE UP WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!" I shouted in his ear. He jumped up drawing his knives quickly with a panicked expression. "Where's the danger!?" He hissed. I burst out laughing and fell on my back. He glared at me with a tick mark on his forehead. "Oh you're so funny aren't you?" He growled. I stood up still laughing. "I try my hardest. You'd think you'd know by now don't fall asleep around me by this point. Remember that cat whiskers incident?" I questioned with a smirk. He blushed a dark red. "We do not talk about that...Ever. Quit bringing it up." He whined. "What's the cat whiskers incident?" Ritsu inquired. "So Karma fell asleep in a rest area while we were exploring a dungeon." I started only to get cut off by Karma covering my mouth with his gloved hand. "I will never allow you to tell them that." He growled. His blush had calmed a little. His cheeks were still tinted pink though. "Aw. Strawberry's embarrassed." I said with a smirk pushing his hand away. "I AM NOT!" He shouted. "Well either way we need to head on into the dungeon. Come along Red Devil. We have work to do. I've heard that a neko potion drops in here." I said the last part to myself. "OH HELL NAW! I AIN'T LETTING YOU GET YOUR PAWS ON THAT YOU STUPID DRAGON NO CHANCE IN HELL!" He shouted rushing into the dungeon. "I'M GETTING THAT POTION IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!" I shouted running in after him. E-class and Nagisa caught up with us quickly while me and Karma were tearing down stone Kunudons. "FIRE WALL!" Karma shouted waving his hand as a wall of fire swept some Kunudons away. "SHADOW SLICER!" I shouted, slicing down the ones that were left. All the Kunudons fell with ease and we began rummaging around the items they dropped. "Neko potion, neko potion, neko potion, AH HA!" I shouted holding up a neko potion. "NOPE!" Karma shouted ducking behind Ritsu. I laughed. "I'm joking Karma. I'm not going to turn you into a neko. You were way to demanding as one the last time." I said rolling my eyes. He collapsed from relief. "Don't scare me like that." He mumbled standing up. "Aww. I'd never do something to make you feel uncomfortable Strawberry Kitten." I teased with a wink. "You need to stop calling me that." He grumbled still blushing. "I'm confused." Nagisa said. "You don't need to know." Karma growled snatching the potion away from me and putting it in his inventory.
