For a day, Bucky searched for a job. He came up empty. His luck had changed when he met two men loading their truck up with wood. They needed an extra hand with delivery. Bucky was welcomed into their crew of two. Misha and Igor had their hands full for the fall season. Bucky was glad to help them. They were delivering logs for people during the winter months. At the night, Bucky sat on his bed. He wrote more memories in his notebook. While he was writing in his notebook, he began to wonder about Violetta. It's been days since he seen her.
Bright morning light from the sun woke up Bucky. He stretched out his body. Bucky had several loads of wood to complete with Igor and Misha during the day. As he got up from bed, Bucky felt like an old man. He was pushing 99 years old in the next year. Physically, he was about in thirties. He got his pants around his hips. Bucky buckled the button and zipped up the zipper. He walked out to the kitchen for some coffee. A moment later, he heard knocking at his front door. He went to the door. Once he opened the door, he saw Violetta standing there in the hallway.
"I'm sorry if I woke you up, Bucky." She told him.
"I was already up, Violetta." Bucky replied.
He let her inside the apartment. Then Bucky shut the door behind him. Violetta walked to the kitchen. She saw the changes he did with the apartment. The last time she was there, it looked like someone didn't take care of it. Bucky came from behind her. He started the coffee machine. Violetta sat down on the chair.
"What have you been doing lately?" Bucky asked her.
"Mostly at the hospital." Violetta answered.
"Nurse thing." Bucky said.
Violetta nodded. "How are you doing?" She asked him.
"I have good days and bad days. I'm still here." He replied.
"I saw something in the newspaper this morning. It was about the Avengers taking out more of those HYDRA creeps." She told Bucky as she got up. "SHIELD is gone along with HYDRA. I guess the world can be in peace for now."
"How do you know all of this stuff?" Bucky asked Violetta as he handed her coffee.
"My dad works for the American government. He used to work for SHIELD before it went under with a little help from Natasha Romanoff." She replied. Violetta took the coffee from Bucky.
"Are you going to take me away?" He asked.
"Bucky," Violetta said. "I don't even work for them. Hell, my dad and I are strangers to each other. Why would I take you away?" She asked.
"It's nothing." Bucky lied to her.
Violetta sipped on her coffee from the cup. She glanced over towards Bucky. "Okay then." She told Bucky.
"I have to get ready for work, kid." Bucky said as he finished his coffee. "Come by later."
"Yeah, I will. I have to go to work as well. My boss will have a shit fit about my tardiness." She told him.
"An asshole, I guess." Bucky smirked.
"No, he's nice. He wants everyone be on time for the latest briefings." Violetta sighed.
Bucky walked over to the door with Violetta. Surprisingly, she hugged him before she left for her job at the hospital. Bucky got ready and headed out the door. It was colder out than it was day before. Bucharest weather was beginning to change for the long winter months. Bucky headed over to Igor's truck. Igor and Misha were speaking in Romanian during a conversation. Misha sighed as he went out to the back of the building. He began to chop wood into logs. Igor noticed Bucky in the building.
