Warning: This is my first fanfiction, so it might be kind of trash. Also, I kinda suck at first person point of view, but I wanted to attempt it for the sake of this story. Some chapters will be in first person and some might be in third person. I'll make sure to put which one it is, enjoy!

Disclaimer: The image above is how you can imagine Saya. I did not make the art, but I claim her in the writing as my OC, not the art. She does not have that justu in this story. I do not own Naruto, only my OC.

First Person POV (Saya)

"Katsura Saya.", A deep voice called behind me. I turned around to address the male who called me. It was an ANBU member.

"That's me.", I answered the masked male. Great. What do they want now? I've been on so many missions already. Can't they let me be lazy in peace? I thought with annoyance.

"The sandaime requests you to his office.", The ANBU told me before he disappeared with a cloud of smoke left behind. I sighed and trudged my way to the hokage tower.

-At The Hokage Tower-

I walked through the halls of the hokage tower, letting my mind ponder. Another mission so soon? I thought to myself as I approached the door. I knocked twice, listening to the knocks on the wooden door echo a bit in the empty halls.

"Come in.", I heard the rough reply of the hokage. I turned the door knob and entered the room, walking towards his desk. I bowed before I spoke.

"You requested me?", I asked.

"Yes. I'd like you to train and participate with Team Minato from now on.", He informed me, getting straight to the point. What! I was almost jounin level, why is he making me join a genin team? I inwardly yelled in frustration.

"Why? I'm almost jounin level. You, yourself, said I could participate in next years jounin exams.", I explained to the hokage. He sighed.

"Yes, Saya, I know. But I'd like you to gain experience there. Nohara Rin is training to be a medical ninja. You can pick up basics from her that would make you especially useful. Not only that, you can learn the Rasengan from Minato. Plus, one of the members, Hatake Kakashi, is a chunin with the same goals as you. To become ANBU. You two could rank up together and partcipate in exams and such together. With the incoming war I've assigned lots of good chunin and genin to even better jounin, so you can learn speical jutsus that shouldn't be forgotten and should be passed down, such as the Rasengan.", He told me, his gruff voice muffled every now and then by his pipe. He has a point. The stronger everyone is the better. I told myself. I sighed to myself before responding.

"When do I start?" I asked.

"Tomorrow. There is no missions yet, just training together. Teamwork is one of the most important aspects to a shinobi. Get used to their presence and working with them. Dismissed."

"Hai.", I replied to him before exiting the room. I actually didn't mind this now that I know what's going on.

The Rasengan will be hard as hell to learn, but it'll be super useful. Rin is a pretty good medic from what I hear, so learning from her will be great experience. Kakashi is a prodigy. The guy with all the fangirls. From my experience he's an asshole, but he's elite so. I thought to myself analyzing most of the team. I wondered who the third member is. I set out on my way home as I walked the halls to the door to exit the building.

-

"Saya?", a male voice called to me as I passed by the Ichiraku's ramen. I turned around and saw Minato and his wife, Kushina.

"Hey!", I greeted with a smile and a small wave. I started to walk towards them as they did the same towards me. All three of us stopped in front of each other.

"I'll meet you back at the house, Shina.", Minato told Kushina with a soft smile.

"Okay. Bye Saya, I hope you do good on Team Minato, dattebane!", She said with a grin as she passed me to walk off. I called out a thank you before I focused my gaze on Minato, waiting for him to explain why he called me.

"I thought it'd be best if we met before training.", he explained to me with a smile. He started walking forward, looking back at me as invitation to walk with him. I raised a brown brow at him, "I guess." I replied, joining him in the walk and listening to the scuffling of our shoes.

"I just wanted to give you a briefing of the team, so you know what to expect.", he further explained his decision to me. It made sense.

"Makes sense," I told him, "I'm fine with that." I said with a bit of a smile and glancing up at the sky.

"Okay. I'm the sensei, Minato, obviously.", He joked with a bit of a chuckle that made my smile widen as I took a small glace at him. I like the team already and all I've met is the sensei.

"The team consists of Nohara Rin, Uchiha Obito and Hatake Kakashi. Rin is the medic of our team and is very nice. She's calm and not very hyper active, unlike the other member, Obito. He's very hyper active and is late all the time. He doesn't get along with Kakashi and they tend to argue. Kakashi is very strict to the rules for...good reason. He's very quiet and can be kind of mean at times. He's the only chunin on our team.", Minato explained to me. The team didn't sound so complicated, but the arguments will probably be annoying. Ah, well, Minato probably handles them well, or teaches them a lesson. I thought to myself.

I let out a small smile and we stopped walking. I turned to him, "The team sounds great. Thank you for the briefing, Minato-sensei.", I thanked him with a closed eye smile.

Minato-sensei returned the gesture, "It's no problem. Well, have a good night Saya. I'll see you tomorrow.", he replied with a small wave before he turned to the right and began walking home.

"You too!", I called after him before continuing straight, on my way home as well.

-

I arrived home in about 15 minutes. I looked at the sky, admiring the deep blue and purple shades of the night sky. The stars sparkled and I smiled up. I hope you're doing well up there, mom. I thought to myself as a tear glistened down my face. I quickly wiped it away and entered my house.

"Tadaima!" I called to my father.

"Back already?", I heard the disgusted grunt of my father from the living room. My mood instantly dropped. "Yes.." I quietly responded, making my way to my room. I'll skip dinner. I thought to myself, as if he would save me any anyway.

Silent tears fell as I climbed the stairs after hearing him call out, "Try not to come home next time." I could already imagine the sneer he had on his face as I reached the top of the stairs and went down the hall. I went into the bathroom to shower and get ready for bed.

-

After my shower I brushed my teeth and let myself stare in the mirror. I analyzed my brown curls that fell to just above my rear, my sky blue eyes, my pale skin, I looked over it all before making a noise of disgust and going into my room. I entered my room and got into a sheer black night dress.

I climbed into my bed and looked out my window, staring at the window. Tears fell once again as I clenched my eyes shut and curled into a ball, tightly gripping my pillow. I silent sobbed as I thought, I miss you so much mom.

I eventually passed out from exhaustion..
