Ashley
I walked into my house to see Brian and Mason sitting on my couch talking.
What has this world come to you?
"Oh Ms.Clarkson, I wanted you to meet somebody." Brian said while gesturing to Mason.
"Mason Lane." I replied to Brian sitting on my couch and leaned back.
"You already know him?"
"Brian. We go to school together." I rolled my eyes and faced Mason.
"I was thinking that you and Mason could run it well together." Brian whispered.
"No."
"Why?" Mason asked.
"Because the last time I checked this wasn't your dad gang was it?"
"Look, you're gonna be making decisions but when it comes to killing and drugs I know you're gonna be too scared." Mason said matter of factly.
I needed to cry. Really badly.
"Fine whatever." I stormed up the stairs and slammed my door.
I cried into my pillow, would my dad be disappointed in me? Probably.
I heard two knocks on my door.
"Brian," I sniffled, "Go away."
"It's Mason."
I threw my pillow so hard but he ducked. That made me want to cry even harder.
He tried to touch my shoulder but I brushed him away.
We sat there in silence.
He broke it, "You wanna know why I joined the gang?"
I tried to say yes but all that came out was a little hmm.
"When I was thirteen my mom got really sick. Her job could barely pay the rent and so the hospital bills weren't being paid. I needed to make money, but nobody would make a 13 year old work. So I met one of the guys who work here and he got me a job. I know what a corny story, but now I live alone and still work here." he eyes were sad.
I stared at him.
"Well, I should go..."
"Wait no." I pulled him back down on the bed.
"Gosh Ashley, just tell me you love me already." he smirked.
I scoffed, "Um, I want you to help me."
He whispered into my ear, "I know."
Then he jumped out of window. I rolled my eyes because I have jumped out of that window so many times I know he'll be fine.
I ordered some Chinese and finished my homework.
*Incoming call from Melony
"Hello?" I asked with a mouth full of sesame chicken.
"Sam apologized."
"Melony I don't want to hear your boy problems." I was about to hang up until I heard a wait.
"I don't know what to do."
"Honestly you're so hungover him so why not just go back to him?" I asked rolling my eyes.
"Wow thanks for the advice." I could tell she was rolling her eyes.
"No offense Melony, I have more important things to do. If you love Sam, like you do, then go back to him. What's the big deal?"
